Greetings, We are sorry you were unsatisfied with your stay. However, as the noted on our official website and the website where you booked your reservation the main hotel building is under renovation. We took photos of that building off of the sites to reduce confusion and we no longer advertise rooms in that building. Only our motel building is available for rent as your reservation will have certainly shown. Additionally, it is FALSE that this building will be "torn down". We expect our renovations in the main building to be complete in 2020 and the popular motel portion will remain operational as always. Thank you!

Greetings, I am sorry you didn't come to check in and that the other guests somehow bothered you. Those very qualified and hard working individuals are in town working on a new solar plant being built in the area. As they work very long hours they do tend to hang out after work and enjoy their brief down time. We don't mind this at all because they are some of the most pleasant guests we've ever had! Additionally, there are very accurate and current photos of the motel building posted on the website so hopefully no one is surprised that they are staying in the exterior entry building of our hotel. Hopefully you'll visit us after our renovation!

Dear Guest, Very sorry for any inconvenience our renovations caused you. However, prior to closing down the main building on the property the rooms for that main building were taken down from all sites and only rooms in the "motel" portion were advertised. I am sure that if you review your reservation you will see that you room is designated in the "Exterior Entry" building. There have always been pictures of both buildings posted online and when renovations began we simply removed the ones of the big hotel leaving the motel pictures visible. Additionally, on our official website there is a rather large notice regarding the renovation. We are sorry if this information was unclear however, the original room you booked was for the motel building. We invite you back after the remodel is complete. Thank you!

Dear Guest, The shower is activated from the faucet. There was a tab which is to be pulled down and it will activate the shower. We are sorry you were unable to activate the shower. Dear Guest, we are sorry you were disappointed with your stay. The main building of Hotel Aiken is under renovation and there is a notice posted on Expedia (and all partners websites) as well as a rather large notice on our hotel's official web page. We also removed almost all photos of the main hotel building (expect for the outside of the main building) from 3rd party sites. That photo was left in place because GPS navigation will always direct guests to that building as the motel on the property does not have it's own address. Additionally we made sure that "motel" portion of the hotel is set as the main photo to be displayed in search results when someone search for hotels. We were hoping that these steps would eliminate any confusion and make it apparent as to where guests would be staying. We are sorry for any misunderstanding. Lastly, we are very busy hotel, especially on the weekends, as we are in the center of the downtown area and in walking distance to all local day time and late night attractions. We are sorry you felt uncomfortable but welcome you back after the renovation on the interior hotel are complete. Thank you.

Dear Guest, I am sorry for the noise issues you experienced while staying at our hotel. If you stayed within the last week there may have been noise late at night from the City of Aiken doing work on various water lines around the downtown area and unfortunately very close to our building. Additionally, although this doesn't benefit you at this point, I will speak with the guest regarding the loud truck at night. Thank you your review and for bringing these issue to our attention. I hope you will visit us again once the renovations are complete.
