Explore south Crete! Trad house for families and couples. The house is located in the center of the village. Its price is low because it is the first time i put it up for rent and i want to give as many people as i can the opportunity to come in contact with this wonderful heaven on earth. Description of the house The house is on the first floor. It has 3 rooms and 1 bath. You may need to climb a few steps but the view from the balcony and the kitchen will definitely reward you. The kitchen i fully equipped with all the devices you need to be independent. There is also a TV and 1 sofa bed for 1 more person. There are 2 more bedrooms with 2 double beds and a spacious bathroom. Hygiene is a priority for me. Clean sheets and towels as well are provided. Even towels for the beach. Air condition is included too. The bright light and the cool breeze characterize the house. Ideal for The house is ideal for couples with or without children. Believe me it is enjoyable to visit nearby beaches of south Crete with your company. You will definitely have the greatest time of your life. Then, late in the afternoon you can return to the village in order to taste local delicacies and if you are lucky you will also enjoy traditional festivities in the village square. This place combines both privacy and social life. If you have children they will adore this place. I grew up there and i guarantee you that especially in holidays and in the middle of the summer the village is full of children of all ages. It is also recommended for friends looking for calm and alternative exploration breaks. Location Ardaktos is located at an altitude of 680 meters and it is only 10 kilometers from the wonderful Libyan Sea. In close distance there are not only organized but also isolated beaches. Rethymnon with the super nightlife is just 25 minutes away while Chania with the nearest airport and harbour 70 minutes away. The access is easy through a provincial road in good condition.There is daily bus connection between Rethymnon city and Ardaktos many times in a day. (e-ktel.com/services/dromologia). At 7 kilometers there is a village, called spili, with all the necessities you may need, an ATM and a hospital. Generally the location is ideal for both summer and winter offering a variety of activities such as hiking, climbing, mountain bike, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, rowing and tracks in historical monuments such as Fragokastelo and Arkadi. Die Unterkunft befindet sich in dem kleinen Dorf Ardaktos in den Bergen, etwas über 600 Höhenmeter, ca. eine halbe Autostunde von Spili und von den Stränden im Süden (z. B. Ligres Beach, Triopetra Beach) entfernt. Die Ferienwohnung hat einen separaten Eingang in einem typisch kretischen Haus. Die Menschen in dem kleinen Ort sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unseren Vermieter haben wir leider (vielleicht auf Grund von Corona) nicht kennengelernt. Der Schlüssel steckte bei unserer Ankunft und ein Dorfbewohner hatte uns vorher dabei geholfen, das Haus ausfindig zu machen, obwohl die Beschreibung ziemlich genau ist. Der Vermieter hatte uns kleine Snacks zur Begrüßung bereitgestellt und es waren außerdem fürs Erste einige Grundnahrungsmittel und Wasser vorhanden, ebenso wie Gewürze, Öl, Essig und Nudeln und andere Kleinigkeiten. Die Wohnung ist sehr einfach eingerichtet, es gibt Schlafmöglichkeiten für fünf erwachsene Personen und ein Kinderbett. Allerdings gibt es wenig Stauraum für Kleidung. Wir waren zu zweit, also ging es gerade so. In den Zimmern ist eigentlich nichts, außer die Betten. In der Küche steht ein Esstisch mit fünf Stühlen. Es gibt einen großen Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach. Die Kochmöglichkeit ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, es gibt einen kleinen Backofen, etwas größer als eine Mikrowelle (Pizza passt!), auf diesem Ofen sind drei Herdplatten, die allerdings sehr langsam sind. Man sollte Zeit einplanen, wenn man etwas kochen möchte und nicht unbedingt ein Drei-Gänge-Menü zubereiten wollen. Der Fernseher in der Küche hatte leider nur griechische Programme, was aber für uns nicht weiter schlimm war und wir einfach aufs Fernsehen verzichtet haben. Im Badezimmer gibt es eine Dusche und dort ist auch eine Waschmaschine, die wir allerdings nicht benutzt haben. Draußen kann man auch sitzen und die Aussicht auf die Berge genießen. Ansonsten hatten wir unsere Ruhe dort. Ab und zu hat der Vermieter sich per Mail gemeldet und gefragt, ob wie es uns geht und ob wir was brauchen. Abends sind wir zweimal in den Bergen spazieren gewesen -> bei den Windrädern kann man einen wundervollen Sonnenuntergang beobachten. Wir haben die Gegend aber nicht weiter erkundet, weil es uns doch tagsüber zum Wandern viel zu warm war. Insgesamt sind wir mit der Unterkunft zufrieden, weil wir durch die relative Abgeschiedenheit Ruhe hatten. Wer keine Probleme mit wenig Komfort hat, kann hier gut wohnen. ##### Anja V. Stayed 14 nights in Aug 2020 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Annett H. 19 Jul 2019 Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### keine gute Wahl Schmutzige, sehr alte Wohnung im Dorf Ardaktos mit sehr alten, runtergekommenen Möbeln, Kühlschrank alt, auch innen sehr verrostet und extrem verschimmelt (unbenutzbar), Außenbereich runtergekommen, Absturzgefahr! Die Foto´s entsprechen nicht der Realität. Kein Supermarkt im Ort (30 Einwohner), dafür war die einzige Taverne geschlossen. Es gibt übrigens keine genaue Adresse, sondern von der Agentur nur eine Beschreibung durch diverse Dörfer und im Ort selbst heißt es: es kommt eine Rechtskurve, danach das 5\. Haus rechts. Da war niemand. Erst, nachdem wir die Nachbarn gefragt haben, kam eine Frau, die nur dafür zuständig war, uns die Zimmer zu zeigen (spricht kein Deutsch, kein Englisch). Die Reklamation hat sie sofort telefonisch an die Vermieterin weitergegeben. Die Vermieterin sagte, ihr sei es egal, ob wir bleiben (zum Glück konnte eine Nachbarin uns alles übersetzen). Wir sind nicht geblieben und haben uns eine andere Unterkunft gesucht, sonst wären wir krank geworden. Die Agentur Labros Tzagkarakis schrieb uns nach der Reklamation, das stimmt alles nicht. Bisher gab es keine weitere Reaktion und keine Rückerstattung unseres Geldes. Durch FeWo direkt konnte bisher auch nicht geholfen werden. Schade, aber Finger weg! ##### Annett H. Stayed 7 nights in Jun 2019 ### 8/10 Good #### Franck L. 9 May 2019 #### Maison typique, calme assuré Impression générale positive : petite maison crétoise typique (2 chambres + cuisine, toute en longueur), avec une belle vue sur les montagnes, et au calme. Labros, le propriétaire, est très réactif. Je ne mets pas 5 étoiles car il y a beaucoup d'humidité dans les pièces, que nous n'avions pas d'eau chaude à l'arrivée (mais vite résolu grâce à la réactivité de Labros) et la literie pourrait être mieux.
