Η γεωγραφική θέση το χωριού είναι ιδανική αφού μπορεί να αποτελέσει την βάση για την εξερεύνηση του κεντροανατολικού τμήματος της Κρήτης. Απέχει 40χλμ. από το αεροδρόμιο Ηρακλείου, 8 χλμ. από τα Μάλια και 30 χλμ. απο τη πολη του Αγίου Νικολάου.
