Our hosts were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment itself is clean and cozy. The "Golden Beach" is in walking distance as well as some very good and affordable restaurants. We also visited beaches in the South of Crete, which are just a 40 min. drive away. On days we did not want to swim we visited towns and sights like Heraklion and Knossos and of course Agios Nikolaos and the island Spinalonga. When you are interested in walking we can recommend the gorge in Kritsa and the Richtis gorge. Both are not too far away from the apartment and worthwhile a visit. Der Empfang war freundlich und unkompliziert. Was nicht ganz der Wirklichkeit des Beschriebs entsprochen hat, war die ruhige Lage. Die unten liegende Hauptstrasse ist sehr deutlich zu hören. Ebenso war eines der zwei Zimmer durch Geräusche der technischen Installation beeinträchtigt. Die sanitären Anlagen (Dusche und Warmwasser) funktionieren sehr mangelhaft. The view is as good as the photos- maybe even better! It’s family run and they were all very friendly and welcoming. There was a thoughtful welcome pack of essentials (wine, water etc). The apartment was clean and well equipped. Air conditioning worked well to initially cool the room at night but the apartment stayed cool anyway. Daily maid service.
