There should be a 6th star for the excellent staff. Wonderful historic restaurant, bar and hotel in a fine area of the Granite City. Great value, fabulous quiet room with very effective black out curtains for the best nights sleep. A

Old and tired
disappointed with our stay at the Dutch mill The room was so dark and dingy, there was no way you could see in the mirror to put make up on. Luckily I took my own light. There were cobwebs from the ceiling .The carpets have seen better days and I was glad I’d taken something to wear on my feet. The smell of damp was horrendous and unpacking at home we had to wash everything as the smell was clinging to everything . The decor was tired and due to the damp paper and ceilings were peeling.we kept windows open as much as possible for November but The traffic noise was so loud, it wasn’t an option , However even with windows closed the noise was constant so clearly windows not doing their job. Lastly when we returned from our evening we had to feel around in pitch dark through the front marquee , trying to find the lock to hotel door in the dark. We had planned to get breakfast but to be honest we wanted out as soon as possible. I honestly can’t express enough the smell of the room, not really acceptable.

Although not much of interest nearby it was in a great location with a great pub on site with great food. Parking was anything but easy but this is Scotland after all.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bar was great. 20 different gins on the shelf. Food was excellent. Good bus service right outside the front door. I would most definitely stay again.

Overnight stay
Staff very helpful, room was clean and bed very comfortable. Plenty hot water and good powerful shower. Had dinner and breakfast while there and food was excellent. Car park is small and access is narrow so be aware of this if you have a big car

Enjoyable night in very lively welcoming Surroundings. Great atmosphere in both the bar and the Restaurant. This can only be made by good service and good customers. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. When in Aberdeen and in need of a hotel, I will definitely try to book in here in the future

The hotel was in excellent condition, i was staying in a room above the bar and late into the evening there was NO noise filtering upstairs which was exceptional and allowed a good night sleep. Accomodation was spotless, meals were well presented and fair in pricing. I have added this hotel to one of my top 2 for Aberdeen and plan to book at least 4 days in advance to get a room with my varoed work commitments .

Great run hotel and restaurant!
Me and my fiancée stayed for 1 night and had dinner and breakfast in the hotel also. The service and food/drink from start to finish was absolutely excellent. The only things that lets the hotel down is the ridiculously tight car park and the bed was very uncomfortable. Apart from that we had no issues. Would definitely stay again but would park on the street and hopefully get a different room where the bed was more comfortable. Don't want to criticise too much as we really enjoyed our stay.

Friendly family run hotel
Really friendly and well run "family" hotel. Good selection of food for evening meal. Breakfast was cooked to order (a rarity in today's world). Reasonably close to the centre of town

I had booked a single room as was in Aberdeen for the night. I was slightly disappointed with the room as it had a musty smell and the bed was not the most comfortable. The restaurant however was lovely and we had a great meal and service. I feel the room just needed some more attention.

Lovely Hotel
Had a great 5 night stay while on business. Lovely large room, comfy bed and excellent shower. Great bar downstairs and very good food. The staff are very helpful and friendly to. I’d not hesitate to stay again when working in Aberdeen
