There are many beautiful cycling and walking routes in the area. You can bring your own bikes or make use of the available ones. Ideal for walking and cycling enthusiasts. The house is located in a beautiful landscape with scattered farms. Just a few hundred meters away, there is a green border crossing where you can cross the border unnoticed on foot or by bike. In the house, you will find a selection of beautiful routes on both sides of the border, as well as brochures and maps of the area. With forests just 2 kilometers away and the tranquil lake at Slingeplas about 10 kilometers away, there is plenty to discover for nature lovers. Day trips to the historic towns of Winterswijk and Doetinchem offer charming streets, boutiques, and a vibrant local culture. Also within a short distance are Dinxperlo and Aalten, where you can find cozy dining options, bakeries, and shops.
In the region, you will also find the picturesque fortified town of Bredevoort, known as Book Town. The border town of Dinxperlo is unique because the Heelweg is partially in the Netherlands and partially in the German Suderwick.
