"My daughter (aged 9) and I have just returned from a lovely week at Domes Lake Algarve and she is already asking when we can go back. The hotel is a great balance of big, but not too big. We were there mid-August (which I imagine will be one of the busiest weeks of the year) but always managed to find sunbeds when needed and the sand pool is a genius concept. My daughter also loved her sessions at KiEPOS (kids club) which gave me some time to relax and enjoy the spa. A great week all round. "

"We recently had the pleasure of staying at the newly opened Viceroy Ombria Algarve, and it exceeded our expectations in nearly every way. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome—genuinely friendly, attentive, and always eager to help without being intrusive. The architecture is truly a standout feature: modern yet rooted in the local aesthetic, with beautiful design touches throughout that made the entire property feel luxurious and unique. The pools were absolutely incredible—serene, well-designed, and perfect for relaxing under the Algarve sun. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean, and every space feels modern and updated, clearly reflecting the care that went into its recent opening. We also spent some time at the spa, which was nothing short of perfection. From the ambiance to the quality of treatments, it was a top-tier wellness experience. One important note for future guests: the hotel is located in the countryside, so it’s a good 30–45 minutes by car to the coastal Algarve towns and beaches. A rental car is definitely recommended if you plan to explore beyond the resort.
