"Even though we where supposed to be a VIP customer, we received a room with a small window facing a construction a few feet away. After I asked for another room they put me on a "waiting list" shortly after I got a call that they might have a front room but there would be an additional charge of 90Euro a day. After I talked to a manager, they reduced the surcharge to 50Euro a day. We took the room which was very nice and had a great view."

"Beautiful luxury boutique hotel with a lovely history and beautiful design. Each room has it's own character and the common areas are well designed and fun. Small and boutique stylewith lovely views of the Duoro river from the terrace and pool. Management eager to please and staff just very helpful and polite and happy to make your stay a delight. "

"Good hotel. Location is good if you prefer a quieter part of town. Unfortunately there is a building site next to the hotel. Big seller for the hotel is the pool on the rooftop. Downside - drinks at the hotel seem to be overpriced and service in the bar at the ground floor is slow. Also the aircon in the room doesn't work. "

"Pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Everything was just right. Room was spacious and well appointed , service was good and friendly, location was excellent , though we were not advised the hotel was on a pedestrian street and we had to lug our bags a block or so. Other than that, no complaints. Good was good and fairly priced. "

"This hotel is top notch. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Porto. There may be a little initial confusion as to how to get to the hotel. Taxi may drop you pretty far away if not properly instructed. Best way I found, was being dropped off and picked up at Igreja de Sao Pedro de Miragaiar, and walking from there(only about 200ft/60 meters or so). From the food, drinks, accommodations, and service, the stay was amazing. Be sure to check out the rooftop. Will be back."

"This is a beautiful hotel and our suite was well appointed and had one of the best showers I have ever found in a hotel. Turn down service and cleanliness was fabulous. We had trouble keeping the room cool enough, the controls were confusing and would revert back to a default in the middle of the night. Staff was attentive and helpful but ultimately was unable to secure us dinner reservations other than in their own hotel and did not seem to have many restaurants that they worked with....
