"At check-in there was only 1 person. He had to attend to a gust and that took 20 mintes while I had to wait to be attended. I asked if he was the only person on the counter and he said that there was another in the office - but that person never came out to assist the back-log of people waiting. The restautant was no better. 1 staff member who took orders and then had to also do room service deliveries!!! So the restaurant service was non-existant when he was devivering room service. Very pleasant staff delivering a very poor level of customer servcie. I think it is a management issue (cost cutting) and not just a staff attitude problem. The room had very little furniture despite being a deluxe room. Aprt from the desk and chair, it had 1 lounge chair (not even a small couch or a sofa table). Not reflective for the price one pays for a deluxe room. The room also had silverfish, in the bathroom, by the coffee making table and bed. This property needs a full review."

"Serviceable but living in a former glory"

"I liked this hotel for location and roof top bar (and a pool). But if I visited again I’d probably book another hotel but same area. The rooms are not sound proofed at all and are very compact. Furniture is modern but too much of it given the size of the room. Sachet coffee and kettle, no pod machine! And no bins for recycling either. I could hear showers and toilets flushing from all sides loudly, along with residents in their rooms too around me. The shower is unique and a first for me, with a blind you could raise to make visible from bed. Not my taste and I thought tacky! Bars and restaurants below and all around, so not a peaceful hotel. I did advise when I checked out about room noise levels from other residents, but this is something the hotel can’t control."

"Main areas of the property have undergone renovation but the apartments are very dated and in dire need of renovation and the drain in toilet was a bit smelly. However it did not put us off. Facilities are good, tv, fully equipped kitchen although dishwasher was broken, washing machine and dryer, icy cold aircon, beds were fairly comfy, balcony, didn’t use the pool but it looked good although small, gym has good selection of equipment. Note the carpark is an extra $20 per night and spaces are limited due to a lot of the spaces reserved for the private residences. There is also a $250 security deposit to pay on checkin. It’s a weird set up having no reception area, check in is via the convenience shop Nextdoor so make sure you read you confirmation email in advance for instructions. Also the main entrance doors are locked from 7pm so access in and out is through the lower carpark using your room card (there is pedestrian gate). Location wise is good about 15min walk to city or can catch the red cat nearby. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay and we’d consider staying again. "
