"A terrible experience and a holiday ruined. We arrived to find a man in the house who could not speak English and did not know we were arriving. The owner said he would be leaving after he put the towels away however he came back on another occasion, did not knock and just walked inside. The house was FILTHY!!!!! Travel south from Bacchus Marsh towards Rowsley and then west along Glenmore Road to see a pretty green valley surrounded by green hills and craggy outcrops. Then climb the hairpin bends at Mount Wallace. At the junction with the Geelong - Ballan Road turn right for an enjoyable cup of tea in Ballan (priced $1 at 'Opportunities on Inglis' op shop).
