"Comfortable small hotel and good breakfast. Helpful staff, but not v knowledgeable about local buses to the splendid Vierzenheiligen church. When were there in April, there was weekday bus (Kaiser Reisen service 1212) 10.49am from the station to the Church main carpark, return bus 15.38pm. Tickets from the station. The hotel reception is not manned 24/7, so they appreciate confirmation of arrival time. "

"This hotel is a castle! Very nice property and the staff were very helpful. We got in late so it was dark. Finding the front door was not easy since none of the lights were on like in the picture on the website. Also parking is not close either. We followed a couple in who were out for a walk and they helped guide us to the front door. No lights or visible signs directing you to the hotel entrance. "We loved the location of the Hocher Hotel. Checkin is 1:00 and since it is an automated machine it is helpful to wait to arrive at this time or after and checkin would be easy. "Das Hotel ist richtig in die Jahre gekommen. Hätte man inwestuert und renoviert wäre es richt gut, das Personal sehr unfreundlich, preisleistung Verhältniss passt nicht, nur das Frühstück war für den ausgewiesenen Preis ok. Wenn sich es lässt werde ich dieses Hotel meiden. Zimmer Reinigung soll alle zwei Tage stattfinden, wir haben zwei Nächte dort geschlafen und es würde nicht aufgeräumt "

"Staying in Bad Steben was a highlight of our trip to Germany. There were 7 of us in 3 rooms - 3 generations and the Villa suited us all exceedingly well. Christina went above and beyond to host us and help us with sightseeing ideas. We spent a day at the thermal spa, another day visiting Bamberg and after we checked out we visited the Museum in Mödlareuth - excellent outdoor and indoor tribute to life behind the Iron curtain.
