"The beach and restaurant are quite lovely as is the entrance to the hotel. We were taken through the hotel, out the back ally, up some stairs to a different building and into a large undecorated room with a large patio with no view. There was a party in the room above us all night that made it impossible to sleep. I’m sure it was once a lovely location but it hasn’t aged well. Best for young folks that want to party. "

"A very nice property right on the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful and a very nice breakfast was included. Rental of umbrella and two beach chairs was a little steep at 15 euros, but, hey, it's a touristy location. We really enjoyed it. Only down side was driving downtown. Drivers are crazy! "

"I had no idea what to expect when I got off the train at Joppolo. I was warmly welcomed, a nice well-equipped room, a pool, breakfast and lovely surroundings. An easy stroll to the few local bar-ristoranti and to the station (uphill). Be warned unless you have a car, the nearest shop for a few supplies is even further up the hill which is not ideal in 30°+ temperatures. The staff were amazing, despite little English (and me little Italian), offering to give a lift back to the station. "

"A very mixed bag. The location is amazing and we had an incredible view from our balcony. The room was large, comfortable and clean. The issue is with the service. I messaged multiple times before arriving to ask for help arranging a transfer from the station. I got no response. There was nobody at the reception when I came to check in (or ever). The hotel was advertised as having a pool. It does not have a pool. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the terrible service took the gloss off "
