"Charlotte at reception was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful! This is a great location for walking to the cathedral and the center of town, and the price is so reasonable. Parking is right behind the hotel and is also reasonable. This is not a fancy hotel, but the beds are very comfy. Our room had king size beds (two twins connected). The room darkens nicely at night. The best part of the in is the historic stone walk between the pub and the restaurant/inn. While this short walkway might be a challenge for someone with mobility issues (it is uneven and steep), you could avoid the walk altogether though - the hotel itself and the restaurant are fully accessible. In short, we highly recommend The White Hart for your visit to Exeter!"

"We had stayed here before and were disappointed earlier this year, when we were informed that the hotel was permanently closed. We were therefore delighted when we received an email from Richardson Hotels, offering accommodation there again. We booked a week in early July and weren't disappointed. Yes, the fabric of the hotel needs some attention but our room was clean and comfortable and benefitted from a bay window with a sea view. The staff were friendly, accommodating and very hard-working always with a smile on their faces. We would certainly stay here again in the future."
