"This is a BEAUTIFUL place to stay. More house than hotel! It appears to be totally renovated and the decor is gorgeous. The view of the pool and the mountains in the distance were wonderful. Our room was spacious and the shower was fabulous. It is located in a very small town with just two restaurants, neither of which were open, so we went to a quaint market within walking distance for cheese, wine, etc. Everything was great. Monsanto was a quick drive away."

"The hotel is rather small (a very good thing for me!), but the room I had was large and the bathroom too. It was modern and very clean, with A/C. It was called Mallus and had a French door to the street which meant I had to have the blind down all the time for privacy, really the only drawback to it all. The breakfast is very good, fresh, and the manager very kind and dedicated. I highly recommend!"

"A definite must stay if you are visiting the Duoro Valley. It is a small slice of paradise once you enter the red door. Manuel was so kind and helpful. The wine paired dinner (for a cost) was delicious and very informative. Highly recommend you book here. "
