Room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Only downside was that there were no pots, pans etc. supplied with the kitchenette… this meant we couldn’t use it as planned and would have probably booked a cheaper room elsewhere without these features if we had known. Stayed 2 nights, clean sheets, nice bathrooms, bed was uncomfortable - mattresses were really thin foam, WiFi wasn’t great, free bus was a bonus, although not the best YHA I’ve stayed in but still pretty good.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this character hotel. The staff were excellent and we enjoyed a good dinner here. It was a bit like stepping back in time but we really enjoyed that. If one is looking for upmarket sophistication then this is not the place, but this place more than made up for it in character in our opinion and we would not hesitate to repeat the experience.
