Learn more about Hellyer

Venture to sights like Edgcumbe Beach Conservation Area as you discover the local area in Hellyer.

I refused to disclose where this beach was on Instagram or my blog but I'll share the secret here. This is Hellyer Beach - it's hidden from view from the highway. Thousands of people would drive by with no idea what they're missing. To the east you can see the "Sleeping Camel" of Rocky Cape National Park. To the west is the distinctive sight of The Nut at Stanley.

Directions: You take the Hellyer turn off from the highway and park straight away. Don't turn the corner. Just park the car and walk straight ahead, up the little track between the trees and you'll come out on this huge beach. It's rare to see anyone else here.
