I booked this hotel for my parents who are in their late but lively 70s. The position is superb. You are right by the Basilica, the main Pilar Plaza and La Seo Cathedral. There are good restaurants nearby (come out of hotel, turn left and on the corner, attached to the hotel is a place that does a good 3 course menu with bread and a bottle of wine for 9Euros and Ann, one of the waitresses, speaks good English and is lovely) and all the main Roman museums are within 10 mins walk. These are well worth a visit and, if you're a teacher, take some evidence and you get in free.
My parents' room was OK. A little dark and not spacious but perfectly fine. The aircon was centrally controlled and seemed to go off at about 9am so the room could get hot. However, the position and friendly (though not very fluent in English) staff were great. The coffee at breakfast was foul though apparently!
