Very Rustic
A bit overpriced for what was available. Very rustic, no bathroom, dirty sheets.. it needs to be cleaned more often. Lake was filthy.. An AC would be nice in 95 degrees.. this would be a great place for a hunter...

Overpriced cabin, but nature was nice
The cabin is much overpriced. A decent price should be about $65-$80 a night. It is smelly and needs a new a new sleeping mattress as well as a new mattress for the downstairs seating. I could not even sit on it for the smell. There was also a lack of large mugs and bowls for cooking. But the view and the nature with deer, beavers, herons, turkeys and a snake (cottonmouth at the edge of the lake) were wonderful and I enjoyed sitting at the fire pit in the evenings. There is a 10 minute walk (or two minute paddle across in the canoe) to the tipi room with the toilet and the outdoor shower (which is surrounded by broken glass and is viewable from the road). Luckily there was no one in the tipi across the lake other than one night and when we were both sitting at the lake/pond in the evening we were looking right at each other which is a little strange. I did not find the lake/pond swimmable, the deck was falling apart and the ladder was not attached. There was also something in the lake that ate a big bird one evening, so I stayed on shore. So nature is a plus while the accommodations could use some updating and improvement.

The place was exactly what is was supposed to be. Quaint, quiet, and relaxing. Previous guests leave behind small food items and supplies, as we did as well. It was a rustic outing without being completly without. It wasnt an issue sharing with the tipi group either. Just a couple of recommendations... shower curtain for outdoor shower, pathway around shower to keep feet clean. Update of locations to go for hiking and water holes. We found a couple that were listed are no longer active. Other than that. No complaints and we are definitely going back. Wanted to actually rent both the cabin and tipi for Father's day weekend but wasnt available. Thank you for sharing this beautiful location.

Cabin stay
Cozy small cabin with a great view of the lake. A trip you should be well prepared for in a sense of camping materials. We also like to be overly prepared. Our 2 small dogs came along and had so much fun roaming around. Very quiet and peaceful.

Great Way To Camp
My partner and I really enjoyed this camping cabin. It is the perfect place to introduce yourself to camping if you aren’t comfortable with just a tent. Being that it was October the water was shut off so therefore there was no bathroom or shower that was available which was OK because we understood that due to their very clear directions. When we first got there the cabin was very cold but the heater that is in the cabin warmed it up within five minutes at no point where we ever cold! We made breakfast and washed the dishes with the water that is available via the water that is ran by an electric pump. Yes you do hear some neighbors at times but it was ever disturbing. The host are very specific that they do not go and clean the cabin after every stay and that it is based on the honor system. Though it wasn’t dirty I did feel as if I was in someone else’s cabin rather than renting one for myself (blankets left behind, coffee, sugar etc). However this did not hinder our stay, again the host are very detailed in the description of the rental property as well as the functionality of it. They are very hands off but are very responsive if need be. We came back home relaxed and still can’t stop talking about how much we enjoyed our stay. If you are thinking of renting this location make sure to read through all other details that they provide. We will for sure be back during the summer so we can enjoy the lake! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your cabin and we appreciate the length of which you have went through to be detailed in your guidelines that is what allowed us to be prepared and enjoy our time.

Cute cabin in the woods
We really enjoyed our stay. It was relaxing, secluded, and quiet. We used the canoe on the lake and saw a beaver! We would definitely return for some R and R.

Just what we wanted
we just got back from our trip and we feel completely relaxed. The view from the cabin is great and the lake has beavers and other wildlife. We also saw an owl. The cabin is small but we usually tent camp so this was a huge step up for us when it rained. We wre able to sit and watch the storm from under the covered porch. If you are expecting a campground...this is not that type of experience. The bathroom is a bit of a walk from thr cabin but certainly not far. Theres a solar powered light in the cabin and a pump for an underground well. That water isnice cold! We are already planning on coming back next year. We had very good responses from the owners and we really enjoyed our time in the little csbin.

Amazing As Always
This cabin is a beautiful and rustic space. A couple of our friends came to have a look and were surprised there was no bathroom, but I wouldn't have it any other way. The site is gorgeous, and the cabin is a cozy respite from the outdoors. This space does require that you love the outdoors. My husband loves the meditative act of building a fire, and we spent an evening there reading one of the books from the shelf aloud while our dog chewed on a salmon skin from dinner we had made over that same fire. This place is positively magical.

What a joke
We had a very traumatic experience. We could not find the cabin with the map and directions supplied. After we got stuck in the snow in the woods the owner of he property was extremely unhelpful and we still did not find the cabin. We had to call 911 to come and help us. We would like a full refund and we have requested one from the owner but he has refused.

Sweet Little Cabin
First the good stuff: cabin was exactly as described, with gas burners and wood for making a nice fire outside. People tend to leave behind staples like sugar and salt - all spares available in locked outside cabinet as promised. Loft bed was comfy with plenty of pillows. Ladder to loft was sturdy. Minor cavils: the canoe makes a nice prop (looks great in photos of the cabin), but the "lake" is hardly big enough to put in, let alone go for a real paddle; and algae issues make it more spooky than attractive. Also, very loud rooster and party people across the way. Overall, cabin was great. "Lake" and noisy neighbors, not so much.
