Great Getaway

Nice, clean place for family and kids
We arrived late and were happy to be met with clean sheets on the beds and clean overall. Cleanliness is most important to my wife and she had no complaints, which is rare in that regard. It has a nice, open, large room with a couch and TV for the boys. We enjoyed our stay. The owner is super accessible. I would definitely use it again.

Very peaceful
This property has good proximity to hiking destinations, food, gas and basic retail. However when you're at the cabin you'd never guess that. It's so quiet and secluded. The deck and rear room were particulary lovely especially if you have interest in birds. We didn't use so much of what we brought because so much was supplied for us. Very homey feel. Quite comfortable stay.

Wonderful
An absolutely wonderful place to stay! My father and I booked this cozy cabin to watch the solar eclipse. Tom and Susan were informative, clear in giving directions, and took communication to the next level. The cabin was so cozy it felt like home. The beds were firm and comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, the porch allowed us to relax at the end of the days, and the lake near by provided lots of entertainment. Everything was cutely decorated and gave the place some uniqueness. The area was quiet and the wildlife was neat. I’ve never seen a red headed woodpecker before this trip. It was definitely a trip to remember. Thank you for letting us rent this little piece of peace!

Quaint cabin in the woods
Overall this was a very cute cabin with nice views to the wooded area in the back. We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint would be the doors in the cabin. The front door is very hard to close properly to lock it when you leave. You have to pull hard and lift up in order for the bolt to align. The door to the back patio is very difficult to close. The pocket door to the bathroom seems to be installed incorrectly or off its track or something, because it didn't close too smoothly either. Also, we couldn't find any extra bags for either of the trash cans, so if we stayed more than 2 days, we would've had to buy our own. I also recommend to anyone staying here to try and arrive before the sun goes down, because we had the hardest time finding the gravel drive at night when we arrived. Overall, it's a nice place and well priced, so I would recommend staying here for a quiet getaway near a lake.

Nice cabin, very clean with useful kitchen pots and pans. Wouldn’t want to rent if I wanted to use deck because the mechanicals are next to the deck and were noisey. Would have like a bit more flame 🔥 in the fireplace. Was most disappointed that I could not modify my dates.

Cabin Getaway
This cabin is perfect for escaping the horse show at WEC. Quiet and peaceful surroundings and a quick drive to the show grounds. Clean property with everything you need. Wonderful outdoor space. The owner is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Easy travel to Roberts Center in Wilmington for large events and access to cute little town of Wilmington was wonderful. Property is a great cabin - loved sitting on the deck at all times of the day! Thanks for allowing my two well-behaved dogs!

We fell in love with the cabin from the moment we walked in. The surroundings are just so beautiful. The cabin was cozy and had lots of in-cabin entertainment. The cabin is located within easy drives to state parks, hiking, and shopping. We absolutely would stay again!

Easy lake access.
We wanted to stay close to Cowan Lake to get an idea for future kayaking. The property is next to the lake and lake access is literally 2 minutes down the road. The cottage was comfortable and roomy. We loved all the extras. Satellite TV was difficult with the rain but we were there to explore, not watch TV. Can't wait to return during better weather. Thanks Tom.

Very nice , would have liked to be closer to the lake ! Cottage was adorable but needed a thorough cleaning ( around the toilet was gross)Also would be nice to have a real fire pit instead of propane, the owner said they weren't allowed but the cabin next door had one .Only other thing was we had to go buy ant traps, when we went to eat our donuts on the 1st morning they were full of ants.
