"The facilities in the unit were all ok. I did find it hard to contact the manager. He lost a customer who wanted to stay but the office was closed and there was no response from the manager. I did appreciate my 4 night stay."
"Very clean, modern and well appointed unit. Everything was well layed out and spacious.
I arrived late and staff arranged a very easy self check in and even turned the heat pump on (it was a cold night).
Bed was comfy with plenty of blankets too."
"The manager was very helpful and found a room for me despite the booking company's communication not coming through until 6 hours after I checked in (24 hours after booking)."
"The graden area at the property was so calm and relaxed. The interesting people that hung around the kitchen and eating area made the place seem lively. "
"Room was clean and fine for our one night visit to Whanganui. Reception unavailability on telephone for lost item was a nuisance. Calling and leaving numerous messages within the "office hours" was frustrating. "
"Rooms outdated and over priced for what you got. Should have been minimum $50 per night less.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the Hotel is closing in 2 weeks "
"It is a well placed motel right across the road from the river. The staff were very helpful. It was extremely clean. I liked the little additions that give it character .e.g. The lovely big light shade in the main bedroom, and a heater. The motel is painted a dark charcoal colour, but don't be put off by that as the staff are extremely helpful, and the suites are well presented."

"Loved the room. Shower was great. Towels were big and fluffy. However, there was a fire in the restaurant and had not been rebuilt as of yet. There was plenty of Clubs, restaurants and stores within walking distance. There was also a bus stop right outside. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay. "
"Next to the Whanganui river was nice and peaceful, the little twin share cabin was well appointed, I would stay again.
Would had like to be able to park next to the cabin for convenience. "
