"Had to pay a 20 pound early check in charge pp, its 10 pound every hour you want to check in so bear that in mind. But overall was good bedroom, comfy bed, good blinds to keep sun out, shower was ok, mot great or powerful but does it's job. "

"We stayed for 2 nights in Room 3 which was beautiful, 11th century beams, large sleigh bed, slipper bath, en suite toilet. Clean, comfortable, nice toiletries, kettle and coffee maker, selection of teas etc. Lovely view of village and church. Breakfast delicious, dinner lovely also. Great place to stay. Good selection of wines, spirits and cocktails. Felt very luxurious and a real treat. Would happily stay again. "

"The staff were really helpful and friendly. Nice atmosphere in the bar, and good food. The flush handle on our toilet was very loose, and we forgot to mention it. Overall, very nice."

"Gave my card details for three different cards but they didn't work on the system.Luckily the fourth card worked.Their was nothing wrong with any of the cards and if the fourth one didn't work we would not have able to stay even though we had paid the full price in advance"

"Perfect Pub stay. Walking distance to train with only one stop to airport. Stansted is lovely historic town. Bed was very comfortable and it was quiet at night. Staff were lovely. My only critique is cereal was offered in the room, but not enough milk packets to enjoy it. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Very old building, uneven floors gave it character. Very steep steps up to the accommodation level though. No parking, though I thought there was (I guess I misread the information about this place), nearest parking was just round the corner and cost £8 overnight, i.e. 24 hours. This was recommended by the staff when we arrived, not knowing where to park. Next day I asked at nearby Waitrose about free parking and they helpfully pointed out several on-street free parking marked bays which were...

"We booked this room as we were going to a restaurant in the next village and rather get a taxi from.home decided to stay more local. The pub which own the rooms is a beautiful country pub, with good food. The rooms are immaculately kept. Clean and fresh. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room. If you need an irion you can request this. Breakfast is not included i the price, however they supply, porridge and breakfast biscuits in the room for you. I would recommend this place to anyone,...

"This was a lovely overnight spot. Rooms were well appointed with nice amenities. Clean and cozy. Breakfast was good, especially appreciated meal was included. Highly recommend. "

"The accommodation was really very nice, clean and comfortable. My only comment was the breakfast first morning ok but the second morning they had run out if 2 of the cereal choices and also Hash browns. The staff were lovely but I must say I was disappointed that morning as we were leaving to go home and we were unable to enjoy the breakfast that should have been available. "

"The location is excellent but remember there is no parking at the hotel and hard to drop off your bags in the car as narrow street right outside. Keep this in mind if you have a lot of luggage or disabled. Hotel and food great. Getting a coffee or drink when breakfast was busy proved hard and we had to ask 3 times and took longer than it took to eat breakfast. Over all a great location and so don’t be put off. Maybe have a filter coffee machine and then could top up yourself"

"staff are very helpful. The food was amazing, but there is a little room for improvement on the accommodation marks on the walls. TV aerial cable draped over light fittings, and personally I would’ve liked blackout curtains as the room was very illuminated from outside lighting. but that said I would definitely stay there again. "Chalet dated but very clean and well equipt. Fabulous location and we sat outside on the decking frequently. Very close to a main trainline into London but we knew this as visiting friends having previously lived in Broxbourne. Didn't bother us. Sofa not comfortable to sit & enjoy TV. Very hard. Only other negative was the twin beds. Despite the mattress toppers, the springs in the mattresses have gone. They do need replacing. Sadly we had an uncomfortable few nights sleep! "
