“Comfortable and convenient”
Nice place to stay, clean and tidy, decent food with easy access into the town centre and to the train station. Perhaps a little overpriced and at the times the room felt a little cold but would return in the future if stopping in Leeds for a short spell.
“Not impressed”
Very small room , dated decor, tiny antique tv, clothes hook in bathroom fell off the moment I put my shirt on it, no wi fi in room ( though website claims free wi fi ), room service woeful. Very unsatisfactory overall.
“Poor customer service and lack of information”
Disappointed that restaurant did not open till 7am for breakfast. Hotel wants to charge extra to have breakfast in room before this time even when you have prepaid for breakfast but does not advertise this fact. When problems occur staff are unhelpful and surly. Only one towel in room booked for two people and no spares in wardrobe. No heating on freezing night. One small shower gel for 2 people and one small tablet of soap. Definitely not 4 star standard
“Slightly down at heel but friendly staff more than compensate”
The hotel is, on the face of it, very grand. However, look closely (especially at the rooms) then you'll see the facade slipping a wee bit. The paintwork is slightly chipped and worn. The floorboards in my room creaked badly (sorry folk downstairs). BUT....every single member of staff is really friendly and helpful. And it is still very grand overall. And it's 5 min walk to the City Centre and about a 2 min walk to the Railway Station and the airport bus stop. And...there's decent restaurents within a 5 min walk too. Oh, and the bed was amazingly comfy. So who cares if it needs a new coat of paint in parts. You'll get a warm welcome, nice breakfast, good location and a great night's sleep.
“Tiny Room and Thin Walls”
Small room and walls are thin.. in fact the door didn't even shut tightly so you could hear so much from outside and other rooms. Also the bathroom had dirty mould marks in the shower area. Rest of the hotel was okay and nicely done and the staff were friendly enough. However they also add a lof of extra charges - such as a charge to pay by credit card (even though they swipe it with money when you arrive!) also a £5 'tray charge' for room service - even if you want a £4 snack.
“Dustbin men at 6 AM outside ruined it”
Dustbin men at 6 AM outside ruined it. Never again. Thanks.
“Good location”
Very close to train station and great shopping. We mainly stayed here because of it's convenience to transportation options to outlying towns. We wanted to go to Turkish Baths in Harrogate - what a treat! Hotel front desk staff woman was very unhelpful and almost rude when I asked about the Baths. Firstly, she corrected my pronunciation of Harrogate and then very quickly said she had never heard of the Baths.
“Satisfied”
We enjoyed our stay at Met Hotel and we had nice time. But we prefered having a hand portable shower in the bathroom instead of the fixed one. Best Regards.
“Lorenzo S.”
I have been there before. Room really big but building quite old and the corridors really dark. Everytime it took 10 minutes to get hot water from the shower. Room quite, very close to the center and bed really comfy. Really clean.
“Attending Claire and Iain's wedding”
Our room was ready when we arrived and we were allowed to occupy it early which was excellent. Our room was very comfortable and the overall decor, furnishings and cleanliness of the hotel was very good. We were attending a wedding at The Met and the staff worked very efficiently to make the event very enjoyable and go without a hitch. The food was of a high quality and the room, where the Reception was held, looked lovely. The next day the beakfast was plentiful and enjoyed by both of us.
