Absolutely the perfect place to completely switch off from everything. Staff couldn’t do enough to make our stay so delightful, from the lovely breakfast ladies and the drivers who picked us up and dropped us wherever we wanted to the reception and housekeeping staff. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Thank you so much for the best experience in a beautiful place!

Thank you very much for your feedback. You booked the smallest, cheapest room and did not use any services of the hotel. We feel sorry about that. It is true that there is no ac. in any hotels on the lake except 5 star hotels.

The view is amazing! And the breakfast was nice. But huge downsides for us were zero A/C and the road out to the hotel us a obe lane extremely taxing drive. If you happen to be staying when it was a little colder outsude not summer maybe the heat in the room may bit bother you. But the drive in is rough

Gorgeous lakefront accommodations
Beautiful location with access to Mount Rigi and boat cruises on Lake Lucerne. Rooms were clean with views of the lake and sliding doors that opened to the fresh mountain air. Staff was very helpful.

Heater outdoor pool was good with a nice lake view. Breakfast was below average. Dinner was pretty good. The spa and pool was full. There was no seat to take around the pool. I stayed 2 nights and was able to get only 1 massage during my whole stay, and it was not even an hour. It was also full. We wanted to make reservation for dinner, it was also fully booked for the night. Seems like there is a capacity issue with amount of people was allowed. We booked the room as king bed, it was a twin bed and almost no space, very very small room with outdated furniture. Staff was very friendly and they tried to help.

Dear Pelin, Thank you very much for your feedback. We feel sorry that you were unhappy with the breakfast buffet. We would have appreciated to know your wishes. Concerning the spa - you are right that between 4-7 p.m. are so many guests during the holidays. We still had availibility every day for massages but maybe not the periods for your convinience. We feel pretty sorry that ther was no availibility in one of the 3 restaurants Alexander-Gerbi. We hope that you could enjoy your stay and we are looking forward to welcoming you again.

the only thing that was good is the sceneries and infinity pool, hotel is old and dated, breakfast is pathetic and worse are the staff, we booked a king bed and was given double bed ,i would have understand if they said its the only room available but they are asking 60 euros for getting a king bed we should have in the 1st place...the 2 men in the dining /kitchen area are rude and seems to hate their job too much they dont even try... if u like good service and dont want to ruin your vacation look somewhere else

Nice hotel, staff are helpful, views as amenities are great. The only down side was the mattress was horrible and literally I woke up from a back pain for two nights in a row, never happened to me before and that was also my family’s comment.

Oh my gosh this place is heaven. The room was perfect, good size, comfortable bed with a balcony overlooking an absolutely breathtaking view of the lake and the mountains! There is a coffee bar/stand on every floor so you can help yourself to a coffee any time, day or night. The breakfast buffet that's included was delicious. The indoor and outdoor pools are magnificent to swim in when you're staring at the mountains. The staff was above and beyond helpful and extraordinarily nice! (Everyone in Switzerland is extremely nice! Love it!) 100% recommend Hotel Alexander, it was a dream vacation!

Our stay at Hotel Alexander was truly the highlight of staying in Luzerne. While we had stayed at another 4 star hotel right around the corner, we found that Hotel Alexander was exceeding the other hotels in terms of service, cleanliness, decor, and offerings. We would stay here again in a flash. I cannot imagine why anybody would be disappointed. You must enjoy their amazing infinity pool, their spa services, and delightful hotel restaurant.

Our family stay at Hotel Alexander was the highlight of our 2.5 week Swiss/Italian/Greek vacation. Despite high temps and no AC we loved the views, lake access, and pool. Breakfast buffet was delicious with diverse Euro choices. Dinner was also excellent. Petra helped us plan a fun filled and beautiful hike a top nearby Mt Riji our whole family loved. Don't miss the cheese, or beer and brats at mountain top. Fantastic stay. We'd go again and again if not for the 12 hour flight to Zurich.

It was a lovely hotel and friendly service but sadly without air conditioning in any of the rooms, it made the summer heat unbearable and therefore difficult to sleep.

Great place to stay at Lake Lucerne.
The hotel was a good value. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Most spoke english and this was very helpful because we do not speak German. The included buffet breakfast was delicious! The views from the dining room were picturesque!

The hotel staff were very accommodating. I had organised to stay for one night, and was blown away when I saw the view of the hotel. That alone created an amazing experience for me in this town I had not yet visited. Along with the view, I had a very early morning departure, and the staff organised my breakfast for me to have with me in the evening to have before I departed.

Quiet nice
Our room was very hot, and quite small, making the stay somewhat uncomfortable. I turned off the radiators in the room and bathroom, but still had to open a window to sleep - this then allowed noise to disturb me on occasion. The breakfast was nice, although the standard of the fruit juice was lower than I expected, the other offerings were very good. The location was good, the staff helpful and the facilities met our requirements.

Excellent service, especially the quality of room cleaning and presentation . Location on Lake Lucerne with lovely mountain views could not be better. Food good, breakfast especially well presented. The entrance of the hotel at the rear is poor and a bit scruffy - it lets the hotel down.
