"This property was a find! I was concerned driving there as it was located in the middle of nowhere and thank God for Google maps else I don't know how I would find it. But what a delight! "The Boot and Shoe is a typical country pub . Full of character . We stayed for one night. The room was basic but comfortable. Shower was good . It was very quiet from around 10pm so we had a good sleep. All the staff were cheerful , friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. We had the evening meal which was delicious . I had the pork belly from the specials board , Breakfast was very good too. We had the full English . "

"We had a lovely weekend stay at this country pub with rooms. The owners are lovely and very friendly and welcoming. Its a dog friendly place, so for us, that was perfect. Our room (room 2) was on the ground floor and had a door leading out to the garden, great if you have a dog. The room was a good size and very comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities, tv and a hairdryer. The king sized bed was good and the bathroom was lovely. We ate dinner and breakfast here both days and the food...

"Very friendly staff in popular and welcoming village local. We only stayed one night and didn't eat here though the menu looked great. Obviously popular with locals and tourists alike for a small village it was busy on the Saturday night we stayed. Room was clean and comfortable though dated. The bed was a bit older than some but perfectly pleasant. The surrounding area is stunning with plenty to do within a short drive and lots of walking on your doorstep. Overall a most enjoyable stay. "

"Horrendous journey to the Fox and Pheasant. Worried we would miss the dinner cut off time we called through. Been traveling for over 10 hours! No problem arrive very tied to a lovely bowl of soup. Feel in to bed and had an amazing sleep. Set off next morning after a fantastic breakfast and a lovely packed lunch. Defo stop off again"
