“very well appointed hotel”
pros: good breakfast nice clean room bed big enough for 2 people and infant quiet location next door to underground/train and tram train form airport brings you directly to hotel very good service hotel staff helpful and courteous next door to Belvedere and botanic garden(which are both gorgeous) close to shopping area(15 mins walk) cons: not walking distance to down town/city center, have to take tram or underground (10-15min, which is not at all bad and very very convenient once you understand the routes) not a lot of restaurants in the area (however plenty of bars). for restaurants have to go to the shopping area.
“OK for a four star hotel”
The hotel itself was pretty good. Breakfast was outrageously expensive(36 Euros/person) so we chose not to eat there. The location was a bit out of the way except for proximity to the Belvedere Museum and gardens. Next time I would select an hotel closer to the center of the city.
“Good value for money and excellent service”
The Renaissance is very easy to get to from the airport - S-Bahn to Rennweg - and is about a five minute walk from the station, if that. From the hotel, you can connect to the underground by taking the train from Rennweg to Wien Mitte, or you can use a tram. The location isn't central, but it's just not a problem - the transport is perfect, and cheap. Service in the hotel was second-to-none. The bar, the barbecue, the reception, all of it was really fantastic. Staff were always on hand to see if you needed anything, and were incredibly helpful all round. Comfort of room was fantastic - massive bed, lots of space. I'm very keen to dispel this bizarre 'paying for TV' myth that appears in two reviews - unless you select the very clearly marked 'Special Offer' which offers you movies, internet and the like for €25 a day, then just using the TV to watch TV is free. Of course it is, it'd be insane if it wasn't. MTV Germany is pleasant enough, that's all I watched. Only slight downsides were the design of the lobby - a bit crowded and noisy at night - and some small defects in the upkeep of the rooms. Nothing major, just minor chips and scrapes on some doors. Overall - go for it, fantastic hotel, amazing staff, great service, good location, good value for money.
“Wonderful hotel for business travel”
I liked the hotel, despite it being rather large and impersonal. The staff is very polite professional and genuinely welcoming. The restaurant could definitely do with a more extensive menu. The swimming pool is quite nice, albeit rather cold. I had a view of the beautiful Russian church from my window which was great.
“Oh Wow”
This hotel was much better than expected. When we pulled into the driveway that leads up to the entrance "Oh Wow" is exactly what we both said. Can't really tell from the street, but Oh Wow. The staff was extremely helpful. The health center and pool were incredibly nice. The location was great, especially after we mastered the tram system. Breakfast was not included (seemed like that was the case in most Vienna hotels) and like most hotels in Europe was very expensive. We found a great place on the corner with Vienna melange coffee and danish. Do not hesitate, this place was the bomb.

“Ideal - great location and comfortable”
A really good hotel very close to tram and train links into central vienna. Take the S-bahn from the airport to rennweg (3 minute walk from hotel) rather than the CAT - much cheaper and saves going into the center and back out again. Good selection at breakfast but try to get a deal with room rate as expernsive if paid locally.
“good location for easy links to airport and city center”
good standard of accomodation, very comfortable huge bed. didnt eat breakfast in hotel (found a little cafe near by) had dinner in hotel and was good value for money however there are plenty of restuarants downtown which are also reasonable.
“Good Hotel within walking distance of centre”
If you want a comfortable hotel within walking distance of all centre locations (30 mins to Hofburg) then this suits fine as avoids high priced centre hotels. Near Belvedere. Only problem is not much choice nearby to eat in evenings. We went to the Salm micro-brew restaurant - great beer and hearty local food. You might need to wait a few mins but worth the wait. From airport take the train but not CAT - Rennweg is station, when getting off train turn left along platform, head up steps, down and straight on as hotel is on right and turn first right. Less than 2 mins walk if you get it right !
