“Fantastic stay!”
I cannot recommend this hotel enough! so clean modern, really good value for money! It was a 4 star but felt like a 5 star. All 4 star hotels should be like this as sometimes I find when booking package holidays, 4 star hotels are often more like 3 stars. Staff were so friendly and the location was superb. Close to everything and great restaurants nearby. There was even a supermarket close to the hotel for buying necessities.
“Vienna central”
Staff very helpful, good location for city centre with good tram and metro links close by. Breakfast till midday - a proper holiday! Aircon a pure luxury in the 30+ summer heat, will come back again.
“After our third visit”
This was our third visit to this hotel and would definately use it again, near to the metro which is extremely easy to use and within walking distance to the centre of the city
“great hotel”
The hotel is well situated, at walking distance from the centre, 5minutes from the tube station. It is very confortable, looks good and the staff is very friendly .
“A Very Good no-nonsense Hotel closer to the Centre than you would think”
Can't praise highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Whilst I initially thought 15 Euro for Breakfast was a bit steep, the range and quality of what is on offer is worth it. I would use this hotel for my next visit to Vienna.
“Vienna's best hotel”
We had a great stay in Vienna, the hotel was situated on a lovely quiet road away from all the noise of the main street. However it was still greatly situated near the u-bahn and about a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. The room was very smart with a lots of room and staff were very friendly spoke great english.
“Would definitely use this hotel again if I go back to Vienna”
Reviews from Expedia and Trip Advisor were invaluable in this good hotel selection. Only pitfalls were expensive minibar (although supermarket 2 minutes walk up the road) and extra fee each per day for breakfast. Location seemed a bit quiet before we explored but turned out to be very close to the townhall and several great U-Bahn links. If you are going before Christmas, hope your time is as magical as ours - LOVELY CITY, LOVELY HOTEL.
“Comfortable, convenient and friendly”
The Josefshof was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay for 6 nights in Vienna. It was easily accessible by public transport from the airport, and there was a tram stop very close to the hotel. We found that most places of interest were within easy walking distance so it was not worth getting a Vienna card. The staff on reception were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. We found the breakfast too expensive unless you like to stuff yourself, but it was no problem to wait until we got to our first stop for coffee and a bite. Helpfully, there was a pod-type coffee maker in the room with 2 expresso cups (bring a cup if you like yours bigger and weaker). There are 2 supermarkets nearby (continue down Josefsgasse and turn right) and several nice cafes.
“"Comfortable Hotel in Good Location"”
The Mercure Josefshof is a very comfortable hotel in a good location, close to the Rathaus and Museum Quarter. The hotel's location is in a quiet side road but close to a number of local restaurants and bars. I'm afraid to say we didn't have breakfast in the hotel as there are local cafes which offer breakfast at a more reasonable rate. We have stayed at the hotel on two occasions now and would expect to stay there again before too long. Clearly, if you want 4 star luxury then look for a 4 star hotel but if you want a comfortable hotel, with friendly staff, in a good location, then I'd recommend this hotel.
“BEST HOTEL IN VIENNA---DEFINITELY!”
GREAT! Everything was wonderful! staff was helpful and friendly and took the extra time to tell you all the great things to do and see in beautiful vienna. Free biscuits available at desk counter. internet provided and computer downstairs in lobby. Breakfast was amazing. hotel was posh and one of the nicest buildings and streets in vienna; great location, quite street but close to the best cafes and sites. room was pefect and posh. all the trimmings. faced a quiet courtyard covered in snow. what more can you want? and really not a bad price for the level of poshness. recommend it to ALL! especially couples!
