“Viennese comfort and convenience”
Very good hotel, situated just behind the Rathaus, close to tube and bus/tram stops, and a short walk into the city centre. Good facilities in room (including plentiful tea/coffee supplies), excellent bathroom and toiletries, and extensive high quality buffet breakfast.
“Excellent choice”
This was the Expedia reccommended Hotel when we were looking at booking a weekend to long Vienna, and seemed a great deal (4 nights for price of 3, but also a very good price for a 4 star Hotel). Checked other review websites (TripAdvisor) and the Hotel was generally highly rated, so we went with it. Turned out to be a great choice, location very good, just inbetween the two ring roads, very handy for trams and underground, museums, etc. Room very quite and comfortable. The free internet in the lobby was handy, staff excellent and helpful. If I had to mark anything down it would have been the v. small ensuite and shower (Room 107). I would say great value for the price paid.
“Nice Hotel in Central Vienna”
This hotel is good: centrally-located and reasonably-priced. We stayed 3 nights inc. breakfast and couldn't fault it. It's in a good area in the old quarter, close to the heart of the city and was a perfect base. Friendly staff. You can see it on their webiste. A few minutes walk takes you to the tram stop on the 'Ringstrasse' from where you can get anywhere in a few minutes. There's also the "Cafe Einstein" nearby which serves very good food and is nicely priced (you can ask for the menu in English or whatever, if your Deutsch isn't up to it).
“Fantasic base from which to explore Vienna”
Great choice of hotel, clean, comfortable and extremely friendly and efficient staff. A city break to Vienna is not a cheap affair, but this hotel offered excellent value for money given it's more or less central location to the 'old' city (Rathaus, Hoffburg and shopping streets etc all in a few short minutes walking distance). U-Bahn and trams run very close by too if you're too tired at the end of the day! Vienna is a great city - this hotel complemented our enjoyable break immensely. Go and see for yourself!!
“Very comfortable and relaxing stay”
A good hotel for anyone. The hotel is only a relatively short walk (~5 mins) from either the Rathaus or Schottentor U-bahn stops, which we felt provided frequent and comfortable travel to anywhere in the city. Also, one can pick-up many tram services from the Schottentor. We felt that the hotel was in a good position, well run, clean and most importantly the staff were superb and addressed all your needs! Would definitely use the hotel again and recommend to any active travellers! If you haven't booked breakfast, then it can be a little expensive (we paid 15 EUROs each, a day), but the selection was fantastic. The hotel is close to the Vienna University, so there are also plenty of places to eat breakfast close by, at a cheaper price than the hotel. Although we didn't use these (they are shut on Sunday's and Monday was the National Holiday), there is plenty of choice.
“Nice hotel in quiet part of Vienna”
The hotel had been recently redecorated and was in excellent shape. We booked a 'Business room', more expensive, which was advertised as having 2 double beds - the one we were shown had only one, but on questioning this we were told that it did have 2 double beds, but they had been put together to make one . . . ? The room was nice, so we took it, but there is a discrepancy between what is pictured, and advertised on their web site, and the 'actuality'. We didn't take the breakfast - far too expensive - and there are delightful cafes around the corner. There is no air conditioning. We went in October, expecting it to be cool, but it was 73 degrees - I wouldn't go there in summer ! Nice people, we had a very enjoyable stay all in all.
“A great choice for a Vienna visit”
Many good features about this hotel. Pleasant welcome and helpful advice from reception, good sized room in good order, wide choice at breakfast buffet. Situation very convenient for walking into old town Vienna, trams and underground.
“Excellent Hotel for the price.”
The hotel is very tidy and clean downstairs. Check in the was easy although we had to wait until 3 o'clock which was a bit of a pain as we arrived at 10am. The hotel had upgraded us due to it being our honeymoon and we got a junior suite which was lovely. The only problem being it was on the 2nd floor which is the only smoking floor in the hotel. However the niceness of the room made up for the smell in the corridor. The staff were excellent, very helpful with booking taxi's and the recommending restaurants. Overall we were very happy with the hotel considering the price. Breakfast is very expensive at 15 euros per person and there are plenty of cafes close by where you can get a nice breakfast for better value. The hotel is in walking distance to lots of attractions and is also close to the underground train which is very good and reasonably priced.
“Very Good Hotel in the center of Vienna”
In a very good location a clean and comfort room is waiting for you! Recommended...
“A good hotel for a weekend in Vienna”
The hotel was situated on the edge of the Ring Strasse well within walking distance of the main city shops, Hofburg, Opera, etc. The staff were really friendly and helpful - guiding us to trams to sites and checking that the car to take us to the CAT (Train to airport) would arrive in god time. The room was well appointed and comfortable with a small but well thought out shower room. The room was very hot to be in - although improved with the radiator turned down. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant hotel to see the city.
