"Both my rooms smelled like pee. When I stated that all that was done was the room was sprayed with air freshener. key card wouldn't work in the gym room and asked staff twice about it she just kept saying she don't know. For the price i paid it was not worth it"

"I was really excited to stay at the Elegante when selecting a hotel in Beaumont. Not only was it a beautiful hotel from the photos, but I was also really excited to be able to use their beautiful pool and pool area cabanas. Even though they are doing some renovations in the hotel, the lobby was beautiful. You can only use the staff elevator currently, so it is a little slow getting up and down floors but not too bad. The room was pretty comfortable and the beds were nice. I liked breakfast also. The big Issue that I had was that I called and had my friend stop by to check out the hotel and ask if the pool was open and she was told that it was. She even called a few days later and spoke to the GM, Bree, and was assured that the pool was open as well as the pool area. The evening after I arrived, I decide to go sit out by the pool to relax. The pool area was locked up so I asked at the desk and was told that the pool and pool area were not open yet. It was really disappointing since that was one of the reasons that I was drawn to staying at this hotel. The morning that I was leaving, imagine my surprise when a couple was sitting by the pool. My group spoke to the couple, and they also were told that the pool and pool area were open when they called, it was closed when they arrived. They were able to persuade someone to let them sit out by the pool but were told that the pool wasn't ready yet. It seems that the staff need to get on the same page when assisting guests."

"The person who checked us in on the evening of June 9th was helpful &I asked him specifically if the internet was good there since my kiddo needed to do schoolwork that evening-he said yes. Unfortunately, we couldn't keep any of our devices connected so after a long drive, arriving close to midnight and not being able to use the internet, we turned in expecting to be able to sleep in since check out is 11am. Nope. At 10am housekeeping is banging on our door which startled us awake. He didn't announce housekeeping-just banged on the door. I yelled WHAT & he said sorry. We have until 11am to check out & hadn't checked out so why are they banging on our door to see if we are there? Horrible practice & I provided feedback to the woman at the front desk who didn't understand the concept of why I wasn't happy. She simply stated they were seeing if you left yet-well I haven't checked out so obviously I'm still there. She was rude. Next, decided since I'm up might as well get ready to leave. I went to get ice. Nope machine doesn't work. Take the elevator down and two steps out and almost fall due to floor was just mopped but the wet floor sign was around the corner. Parking lot was a disaster when we came in, the key wouldn't work on the side door and in the morning someone had propped open the door with a rock - probably since the key wouldn't work. The door to our room was difficult to close. The A/C on the wall doesn't actually control the a/c. Would NOT recommend."

"Stay in hotels monthly. Was not happy when I arrived late in the evening to hear the elevator is out. Had to lug a few trips in the hotbox of a stairwell. Upon entrance, floor showed visible signs of filth. Bathroom had no tissues. Box was empty. Water pressure in bathroom was less than desirable. Fine in the kitchen. Bed was way too soft. Booked this bc it rated "wonderful." Not this time."
