Nice beach-front hotel in a quiet neighborhood

I think the hotel should advertise the two electric car chargers they have near the entrance. There's a Tesla specific charger, which is super sweet for us. Everything about the hotel is great.

Stunning Hotel with Fabulous Views

Posted 01-Apr-2015
Cons: The only downside to the hotel was the furniture in the lobby, it was very uncomfortable to sit in to enjoy the wonderful fireplace.
The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. While staying there, we did not hear one sound from the hallway due to the thick wooden door and the plush carpeting. The bed was extremely comfortable with crisp, fresh white linens. The hotel provided milk bath and the soaking tub kept the water warm and did not lose heat. The views were amazing and the mineral pools were not only kept at a comfortable temperature, but very well maintained and clean. Overall, this hotel ranks as one of the top five I have stayed at. I loved the fruit infused water in the lobby as a refreshing treat after a long soak in the mineral pools.

Hands Down My Favorite Victoria Stay

Posted 30-Mar-2015
Pros: The bathrooms are stunning and luxurious and they have a beautiful grand piano in the lobby which they allow guests to play. I loved that part!
Cons: I wish the fitness center had a few more pieces of equipment. Currently it's just some free weights and a few cardio machines.
Location: Location is perfect!. Plenty of nice things close by and it's a short drive to the heart of downtown Victoria. Very quiet.
This place is just wonderful from top to bottom. The staff couldn't have been more professional and welcoming. The amenities are world class. Every little detail about a guests experience is carefully thought out. Elegant decor so lovely it made my girlfriend and I consider taking pointers on design and making our own home this nice! You will not regret this stay.

Away from the noise...

Posted 28-Mar-2015
Cons: The only negative was that no one came to straighten our room until they came to turn down the beds at night (we were only there for two nights).
Location: We found an amazing coffee/pastry shop about a mile away, there were restaurants on location, the pool/spas were very nice.
What a treasure. A wonderful location that was quite and beautiful. The amenities were great, everything was top of the line, and we had a great stay.

Wonderful stay!

Posted 25-Mar-2015
Pros: Everything!
Cons: no
Location: Cute town and hotel is only a 10 min drive from Victoria.
One of the best hotels I have stayed in and lived up to expectations from all the other reviews. The room was spacious nice touch with a fridge, microwave and kettle. High end bathroom again very spacious. Really comfortable beds. The view was spectacular and we enjoyed having an excellent lunch in the sitting room (teenagers not allowed in pub) overlooking the pools and beach. The pool was so warm and even though the weather wasn't great we could still enjoy it and the hot tubs, because they were mineral pools you didn't get the itchy dry, smelly skin afterwards! The town was cute and we enjoyed having a meal at the Penny Farthing pub though the service was slow. Whenever we have stayed in a 4/5 star hotel they get you on everything here parking, internet, water is all free! Definately be back.

Great hotel, great staff

This hotel was one of the best u have ever stayed in . The staff were awesome, rooms were great and facilities were incredible. Only thing that I had issues with was connecting to the Internet. It was slow and didn't always work. Staff did everything they could to resolve issue but it didn't get better

Stay in luxury at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel

Posted 23-Mar-2015
Pros: Everything ~ Mineral Pool, Steam Room & Private Beach
My husband and I LOVED staying here to celebrate our anniversary! It felt like we were in a private resort, as they're so accommodating & everything you could need was on site ... Cafe, Pub, Dining Room, Mineral Pool & spa area, private beach, they'll even supply you with a robe and slippers to wear down to the spa. The room was beautiful and spacious, comfortable bed and wonderful soaking tub + a walk in shower, it was heaven! Huge points for having the heated mineral pool area open 24 hours a day AND licensed, relax in the pool while looking out at the ocean & drinking a glass of wine, nothing more relaxing than that!! The ONLY two things I could recommend them to tweak would be to put a towel hook by the shower, as the bathroom is so big, the towel rack is pretty far from the shower ... and the bathroom fan would not shut off all night (we just closed the bathroom door & couldn't hear it at all though!), other than, everything was PERFECT, we can't wait to stay again!!

Pleasant stay!

Posted 21-Mar-2015
Pros: Close to centre of Victoria and UVic
Cons: Bathrooms badly in need of towel bars.
Location: Short drive to Oak Bay restaurants & cafes. Good running along paths paralleling beach (concrete).
Great rooms. Nice pool and hot tubs. The "minimum temperature" on the thermostat was too hot for sleeping - had to open all the windows. Maintenance staff adjusted the thermostat promptly the next day after coaxing the front desk it was a problem. TV guide seemed off. Showed A&E instead of the listed CBC - couldn't watch the Hockey Game - I thing my wife made them do it!
