“Great hotel in Lido”

The hotel was wonderful. Right near the vaporetto stop on Lido, not far from the beach, on a main road with lots of stuff to do, but somehow quiet as well... with really good internet prices. The staff member at check-in was rude and unsympathetic to the fact that we were very tired from travelling... but everyone else was quite nice! I would definitely go back again! And the price is definitely right considering where you are!!!

“Good News & BAD News”

The good news! The Hotel was idealy situated on the Lido with good access to the boats and away from the hustle and bussle of Venice proper. It was very easy to get to and from the airport on the vaporetta (return EU 25pp) We bought a 3 day boat pass at airport. The Hotel was clean and aircon, all the staff were friendly and helpful (BAR ONE..) The BAD news... On arrival @ 12:30pm (up since 3:00am) we were told we could not check in until 2:00pm, we left bags and went to find somewhere to sit, @ 1:30pm we returned and the bell hop said our room was ready, in comes the desk clerk who said "NO not until 2:00pm!" then went outside for a lesiurely smoke, when he had finished he then said that the room we had paid for was economy (because we didn't want breakfast) and for EU25 EXTRA a night they would UPGRADE us to a bigger room, they showed us the bigger room (which was the size of a NORMAL double room) and then led us to what I could only describe as broom cupboard with a bed in it! As it was our Silver (25th) Wedding Anniversary I had no option! BEWARE THAT THE ROOM YOU PAY FOR WITH EXPEDIA IS THE BROOM CUPBOARD! The "bigger" room was nice, clean, bright but was what I was expecting for nearly EU100 a night without having to pay the extra! TV didn't work and WiFi cost EU3 for 30 minutes, make sure that you LOG OUT, clock keeps ticking with your laptop off! We had a wonderful time as we didn't let the attitude of one desk clerk spoil our special occasion.

“Brilliant!”

We booked a 'budget room'. (Venice accommodation is not cheap!) The room was very small but was extremely clean and modern and had a great shower. The hotel staff were VERY helpful and provided us with maps and local information. You can also book local day trips and outings from the hotel. The hotel is on the Lido island. It is extremely easy to get to with the vaporetto (water bus) going there every 10 mins through the day and night. The hotel is a 2 min walk from the vaporetto stop. There are lots of bars, shops and banks literally on the doorstep of the hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel - it was brilliant!

This hotel in Lido is a wonderful place to stay in Venice. When we return to Venice we will definatly stay here again.

“Fantastico”

If you're going to Venice you have to stay at this hotel. A four minute walk from the beach and a four minute walk to the water bus which takes 15 mins to St Marks. It is a small room, but you'll be in Venice, so why stay in! Very helpful staff and as said before, you can't beat the location.

“Our 4th stay here”

We always come back to Le Boulevard. To us it is part of our Venice trip - out the door and turn left in the mornings to the beach; back to the hotel for a shower and cool off in the welcome air conditioning midday; and then out the door and turn right for the boat to St Marks in the afternoon. The evening meal is either on the main island, or back to the Lido to the Gran Viale, opposite the hotel, for a meal and bottle of red! We like the cool italian feel of Le Boulevard, professional local staff, always polite, always helpful. This year we needed to change our room on arrival - it was done easily and without hassle. See you next year we hope.

Good Service, helpful and very polite staff. Nice clean and spaced rooms. Breakfast buffet very limited variety.

“A great hotel for a weekend away”

We stayed at La Boulevard for five days in June. The location was good, convenient for the water busses, airport transfer and the beach. The Hotel staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful; the room was adequate in size, very clean, had plenty of storage, excellent air conditioning, a good sized safe and a superb bathroom. It had a reasonably priced minibar but sadly no coffee or tea facilities. I am sure that is something they should consider. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby as well as a food store next door and facilities locally to hire bikes. I would not hesitate to recommend La Boulevard and would urge anyone visiting Venice to consider staying on Lido rather than in the centre of town.

We were very happy staying at this Hotel. Staying on the Lido was a very good idea. Bars restaurants were excellent and the water bus was a two minute walk from the hotel. Venice was a short ride. We loved the hustle and bustle of Venice and it was great to relax in a restaurant at the end of the day on the Lido. The beaches are brilliant.We recommend buying your Venice Card on line before you leave for the airport. It works out cheaper and you do not have to queue.
