Le Boulevard . Lido Venice

Posted 19-Jun-2014
Pros: Clean, good bathrooms and location
Cons: ....
Location: Close to Valporetto stop and all the shops, restaurants and bars on the Lido. A short walk to the beach.
Good well maintained hotel. We stayed in a standard room with excellent bathroom (inc bath). Breakfast reasonable with varied choices including fruit and small hot selection. Location ideal for the Valporetto

Good no frills Hotel. Excellent friendly staff.

Posted 06-Jun-2014
Pros: Helpful staff. A welcoming, friendly atmosphere. A good breakfast and everything worked.
Cons: Better lighting in the bathroom.
Location: We only used the hotel and local restaurants as a base to visit Venice. We understand there is a nice beach and facilities for families.
Very well situated just 3 minutes from the Vaparetto stop. 10 mins from St Marks Square. Being just away from Central Venice has very positive advantages. It is nice to return in the late afternoon to a less frenetic atmosphere. The more sensible prices of both the Hotel and the very good local restaurants is a major bonus.

Good position

Posted 03-Jun-2014
Pros: Good position
Cons: Later breakfast
Location: The beach is a 10 min stroll away, unfortunately we didn't get time for a visit on this occasion.
This is close to the water bus stop. There are some nice caf├ęs and bars nearby. A supermarket across the street that opens late in the evening. Every thing is to hand. It's a busy area in the day but a good position. Having stayed actually in Venice before we thought the lido might not be so good but with the regular water buses it's no problem. Infact you could get a good position on the boat for the photos are you approach the lagoon or a ride up the grand canal. Easy acces to murano as well.

Pleasant central Lido hotel.

Posted 25-Mar-2014
Pros: The room we had was small but comfortable. The staff were all very polite, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the choice available for breakfast.
Cons: It would be useful to have a kettle/coffee making facilities provided in the room. Shower - thermostatic / mixer in the room we had needs sorting out.
Location: The hotel is close to the Lido vaporetto stop and beside the Billa supermarket, various shops and a bank, also just a short walk to the beaches,
We had an agreeable weeks stay at Le Boulevard Hotel. We stayed in an economy room so didn't expect too much as it was a cheap holiday but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was quite small but clean with fresh towels provided daily and bed linen changed regularly. There was a small bath with shower over, shower was the only problem as the water alternated cold then boiling so was easier just to use the bath. The hotel is close to the Lido vaporetto stop and beside the Billa supermarket, various shops and a bank so close to amenities and convenient and quick to get across to the centre of Venice. The staff were always polite, very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold food, all self service.

Elegant & French, but simple.

Posted 23-Feb-2014
Pros: Free wifi. Great breakfast. Quite. Charming. Running paths nearby.
Location: We took the boat over to Venice every day and did not explore Lido very much. But close to the hotel is a running path and a grocery store.
This hotel is not in Venice. But do not discount Lido! The boat is a bit pricey to get to your hotel, but it is worth it. The place had great charm, comfy rooms, and a excellent breakfast. I am a runner and Lido was the best place in Italy to run - great running paths. I just loved this hotel. It was quite, warm, charming and close to a grocery store.

Experience could have been better

Posted 09-Jan-2014
Cons: Make sure that everything in the room ais in a working condition.
Location: There is nothing or no location for things to do near by. The train station is about 3km away.
We could take the free shuttle to the station (centrale) but we (2 ladies) were dropped alongside the road at 7am and told we need to walk further. Our room smelled like smoke and there were no extra blankets and it was so cold. The hotel is far from everything. The hotel is opposite the railway but not sure where the station is.
