Adequate 3-star accommodation but we were housed ina room around the back of the albergó where there was a strong smell of fish! Reasonable breakfast and very handily placed forRialto and San Marco areas.

Very nice place in the middle of Venice. Be aware that it's kind of a maze to get there from the port. There's no taxis or car on the streets of Venice which means that you have to walk all the time anyway. Restaurants are by the dozens, shopping is everywhere. Have fun because this hotel is in the middle of everything.

For staff, one gentleman was very pleasant, the rest were so-so. Location was unbeatable! The room was VERY hot, even with lower temperatures. Our room was INFESTED with mosquitos. No other guests had bites like our family, children suffered hundreds of bites on their faces and arms. I would caution guests to check room before check-in. Again, the mosquitos were horrible, but nowhere else in Venice did we even see on mosquito except in out rooms. We bought bug spray and bit medicine, but were useless against the amount of bites we suffered.

The property was clean and in a convenient location, however building work was taking place outside of our room, we were not advised of this at booking or during check in, when we requested to be moved because of this, staff were surprisingly rude and dismissive. The property is in need of updating and maintenance, so it would be wise to check on this before making a reservation.

Terrible reviews, horrible looking place and we requested a refund through Expedia multiple times but they refused! We ended up booking other accommodation and were out of pocket $500 but wouldn’t stay here! Steer clear, horrible!

This was a last minute reservation for us as our travel plans changed while in Venice. While the staff and hotel looked and operated fine, our room was a little odd. The room decor harkens back to old venice which it self was fine, but the windows were blocked off and therefore we had an interior only room with what had poor lighting and felt stuffy. The windows being closed was probably for a good reason, but we were not told ahead of time.

Had to stay in the attic room (up an additional flight of stairs once you entered the room) because the first room we were given smelled like smoke, although it was supposed to be non smoking. Room was nice and spacious but very warm from the heat rising. No AC so windows were opened but mosquitoes came in because there were no screens on the windows. Breakfast was included and very good. Overall for the rate, the room was decent and we had a pleasant stay. Staff was helpful and knew English.

The room had a very strong sewage smell coming out of the bathroom. I would consider this property as a hostel and not a hotel. However, it is very well located walking distance to all attractions.

Hotel itself was good and the location was fantastic. Unfortunately the service is very poor. We had no wifi and had issues with hot water, both of which we mentioned to the hotel and both of which were ignored. We had cold water for the last day of our stay.

Is located 5 minutes from San Marco Cathedral very close from main areas shopping, Restaurants and 30 minutes from SL train station. The room was nice and clean, unfortunately the tv don’t work not big deal for except for my old lady, no glass or coffee, water no complimentary’s. At arrival the lady was very dry not friendly at all or gritting 😞 she looks like she don’t want to be there.

Most of the staff provided bad customer service. For example, rude and short responses when asking if we could use an iron (the hotel doesn't provide any) and they refused to let us use their phone for an emergency. Their luggage storage after checkout is in the hallway and the staff said they are not liable for any stolen luggage but they said this with attitude. Our room was infested with mosquitos resulting in multiple mosquito bites overnight. Overall, this hotel is overpriced for what they offer and we definitely won't stay here again.

Accommodations were fairly typical for Europe, including air conditioning that wouldn’t cool the room any lower than about 75 degrees F. The bathroom was a good size, although we did have some issues with our shower. The front desk staff were not consistent at all - some were helpful and some were not at all. Plenty of dining options nearby, and hotel is a fairly short walk to San Marco.

The shower door was broke the wheel was off and would not close good. The wooden cabinet was wobbly and the wood was coming off the back. The shower was very small. The lighting in the room was terrible. The breakfast and service was ok Over all I would not recommend this hotel.

There was a lot of dust on the floor, as learned by my fabric suitcase. The location was fantastic, but the staff greeting me was not as friendly and at check out at 11:00 AM, was nowhere to be found for 30 minutes. The TV was small, room was dark even at 8 am because there were outdoor panels covering where light should come in, and shower was a bit old… I would recommend staying elsewhere.

The hotel is located in a good area. However, the breakfast was not good and there was no egg. You have to ask for the coffee it means there is no unlimited coffee. The bed did not have queen mattress, it was a joined twin and the room was the one on the picture at the time of booking. The room was located in a very uncomfortable hallway. We had to get of the elevator and go down and up 20 stairs to get into the room with four luggage’s and no assistant. The staff were not friendly at all. I called the reception for the wifi password so many times and instead of answering my phone, the receptionist came to our room and knocked on the door two times and started to argue with us why we called them three times. This hotel is not worth to book. Not recommended.

I do NOT recommend this hotel. The pictures on Expedia are not what you get. The room I was given was in the "old" part of the hotel. We took the elevator to the 2nd floor then a flight of stairs to the room and then more stairs in the room. The air conditioner barely worked. The breakfast has no hot food at all! Expedia should not have this hotel on it's website. The only thing I can say is the day desk manager did switch our room to the "new" part of the hotel, but that room had no windows?! I never heard of such a thing. The only nice thing I can say is the day manager on duty was understanding and helpful. If you need another type of milk for your coffee your out of luck there, too.

We loved the convenient location. The staff were fantastic and the complimentary breakfast was a great touch. The coffee at breakfast was charged to the room so be aware of this. Would recommend.

Sold a bill of goods!! When checking your web site it gave favorable info, I asked for a hotel NEAR the Santa Lucia railroad station, Info back was this hotel was 2 1/2 blocks away even showing a map with hotel pinpointed! FALSE!! It was 2 blocks from SanMarco Square - $100 water taxi ride away to get there! With a 7a.m. train out of SantaLucia we had to get a special water taxi at 6 A.M. the next morning to make our train departure for $140. I feel your false information owes me that taxi money!! The room at the hotel was very small. The hotel check-in person was kind and helpful. That's about all.

This hotel is a mere five minute walk from Piazza San Marco and is convenient to all the major sites and lots of shopping and restaurants. Our room was comfortable, the bathroom was modern and the air conditioning worked well. The breakfast area is small but turnover was quick. Very helpful and pleasant staff. We had a room facing the interior, which was nice and quiet.

Booked a family room some 6 weeks prior to arrival. Expected: clean, air conditioned room and clean shower. Received: spare attic room, with small dirty windows, covered with dirty curtains. Dirty floors and dirty walls stained with smudged dead insects and wall paint coming off. Air conditioning falling apart and not functioning. The room hot and stuffy. Shower falling apart, the screen door detached at the bottom and with layers of mould. Some ceiling lights not working. Room dark as a dungeon. After the lift, additional 10-12 narrow steps to climb with large and heavy suitcases. Nobody offered help. Discussed with the receptionist and told no other room available. Told HAD to stay in that room for the night and will see IF anything else available the next morning. I told the hotel I did NOT expect luxury and exactly the same room as pictured but I DID expect room with equivalent standards as the room advertised. Told the allocated room was equivalent/happy to share photos of the room for comparison/. I could not allow my children the sleep in such filth, so I had to pack up the suitcases and move to another accommodation. I wrote to the management requesting a refund due to not delivering what was advertised. Very rudely told that the room was up to the standards stated. I am not sure if photo uploading is an option in this review but I am very happy to share the photos of what they consider “up to their standards “.

Very convenient location, only a few minutes either way from the Rialto Bridge and San Marco. Situated on a street that’s not that busy or all that quiet, with multiple cafes and restaurants (plus a gondola stop) right outside the door. But it wasn’t like the crazy hustle and bustle of other avenues in Venice. The room was beautiful and we thought the bathroom was amazing, great water pressure and plenty of hot water. We also enjoyed the bidet! It’s a little warm (we stayed in mid-May) but that’s totally the norm for Venice. Recommend bringing a portable fan. We felt safe, the lobby was always staffed, and the doors locked securely. We really enjoyed our stay! Thanks to the staff there for making our first visit to Venice wonderful!
