When we arrived, iat around 10:30, we faced a gentleman with no sign of welcome -- no greeting, no eye-contact, eyes on his computer all the time, one word answer to every question. We were told all rooms are occupied. We were happy to leave the bags in the lobby, in an open area near the sofa. But immediately we found another couple coming in with luggage and was led to a room. When we return to the hotel around 20:15, there was nobody at the counter. Our bags were not there. We waited for 15 minutes. In lieu of any receptionist, I found a key outside a key envelop with my name on. There was also an admission form with my name, blank. What I could do was to pick up the key and moved to my room. Glad the bags were in. Nothing happened overnight. Not even a knock on the door to check that we were in and the bags were safe. The next morning, we met a lady at the counter. I said "I am not complaining, but it was dangerous. It was for your good. What if the keys were used by other people and took away our bags, or that we had missed out way." The reply was but defensive, as if this did happen. I was rushing to catch our train, just to hear the lady said "We will now charge your credit cards." It took me by total surprise, "But I received the letter which stated clearly the room is paid and guaranteed." "We prefer to charge when you arrive". I was totally confused, but had to rush in order to catch the Glacier Express. Never met such hospitality in all my expereinces.
