I throughly enjoyed my stay at the Alex. Staff was more than friendly and accommodating, the facilities are immaculately clean and the room and property had everything I wanted in a hotel. The Ski room with heated boot and glove warmers in my private locker were a fantastic add that I wasn’t aware of. Sofi and the staff were very friendly. Everything is walkable from this location, including the train. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!

Location was super accessible from main stations, views from higher level rooms was fabulous! Breakfast staff was cheerful and accommodating. Highly recommend, will book again when in Zermatt!

Eclectic hotel with very friendly staff that helped with everything we needed and very close to the train station. Walkable with luggage but only if needed. They provide a free taxi to and from the station.

Zermatt in the Summer - Excellent
The Alex is a traditional hotel, it is good in the heat of the summer so it must be great for the winter snow season. Very convenient for the station being only 150M to psh the cases.

Honestly this hotel was a HUGE surprise. I was not expecting it to be SO big and so very well equipped! Honestly it's the perfect place to stay in Zermatt. It's very close to the train, literally around the corner. The entrance is hard to find since it's so big, so just got up the stairs and walk into the doors that say Restaurant. The staff were super nice and provided me with everything I needed above and beyond. I was truly treated with so much care. The big bonus for me was learning about the free spa area. It's huge! I used the pool and spa area a few times and I was always the only one there. The lounge and bar area is amazing and huge as well. Water is drinkable everywhere in Zermatt. The room was super cozy and clean. Very comfortable. Bathroom was great with heated floors and a spa tub. There are just so many perks to this place it will blow your mind. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Very nice hotel, fantastic location.
Absolutely great hotel, and amazing location, can highly recommend. Breakfast was very good, with so many different options. Will definitely stay at Alex again on our next trip to Zermatt.

Room not bright enough
Super duper near to the train station! Nice experience especially when I got to see the tip of Matterhorn just before I checked out from the balcony. If only the hotel could install more lightings to make the room look brighter. Everything will be perfect.

A very comfortable stay
I select this hotel because it is nearby train station. Excellent facility including swimming pool, sauna, spa etc. It is unexpected that there is a hydro massage bath tub in my room. I feel very comfortable during my stay. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is very good and I enjoy a very nice dinner.

Nice escape for a couple of days
Alex hotel is located in the center of Zermatt. I came to this hotel because of the SPA as i don't ski, it was nice alternative, they have a large pool where it's possible to swim properly when there are not many people. Hotel is conviniently located close to the main station and main street of Zermatt. My room was quite small, in general overrated, but it was clean and confortable bed. The breakfast was excellent. However during Covid it was not possible to bring a guest for the dinner at the restaurant- this is inconvenient.

Had half board, the food was excellent. Spa and pool facilities great, massages were fantastic. The lounge area was decorated in Swiss style, with friendly bar staff, and a great venue for apres ski and Pre dinner drinks. Hotel bus picked us up from the bus drop at bottom of village and dropped us off at 05:30 am. Bedrooms spacious, comfortable and clean.

The staff, the swimming pool/jacuzzi, staff, breakfast, and dinner (I had half-board which included breakfast and dinner) were outstanding. The two servers who primarily served me dinner, Juan and Augustus were amazing. If i am visiting Zermatt this is where i will always stay.
