Loved our weekend trip!
We had an amazing weekend stay! The place was clean and spacious for us! It had everything we needed! We will for sure be back! Loved the town of Utica! They had just set up their Mills Street with outdoor dining and we had a wonderful time! The town is very family friendly and we will be bringing the kids with us next time! We hiked all of the trails in Starved Rock and most of the trails at Matthiessen as well! Definitely recommend eating at Bruce and Ollie’s and Skoogs! Thank you so much for our amazing stay! We will definitely be back!

We have stayed at several of the cabins in this complex and this one is our favorite. The owner is very responsive to communication and handles any issues (not that there will be many, if any) quickly. Thank you for another great stay. We will be back again.

What a great Home!!!
We had the best time! House was perfect with a stocked kitchen, bedding, and essentials. We ranged in ages from 6-70 and everyone had fun. The house was a good size to hold us all (5 adults and 5 kids 6-17). Bedrooms were big and 2 full baths were a plus. Walked to the water park and right across the street from the St Louis Canyon parking lot to walk the trail. Short drive to Starved Rock and Mattiessen State Parks. Bruch at Starved Rock Lodge-YUM!!!!! You won't be disappointed!

Great Location
We wanted to have a short weekend away to explore Starved Rock and this condo was the perfect choice. Close to everything, quite neighborhood, and great amenities. Very cozy and comfortable. Thank you for a great stay!

Spacious, clean cabin in a quiet wooded setting
We enjoyed staying at this property and we’re pleasantly pleased on arrival at how spacious the unit was. The unit was clean and there was plenty of room for the six of us. In the living area there was only a sofa and a loveseat, seating for 5 even though there were beds for 10. The balcony in the master suite showed some decay and did not look safe to use. We were disappointed at how far the cabins were from the town of Lasalle where the wedding was held that we were there to attend. I thought the unit was in Lasalle, but found it was in Lasalle county. Might have been my oversight when I booked. Overall, we were happy staying here, it was a good value for the price we paid.

Perfect mid-west escape
The property is located in what I believe is the perfect spot of seclusion and the charm of downtown Utica. The villa was super accessible, comfortable, and was the perfect escape that we needed. We will definitely be back.

nice place
it's hard to find at night, even after you know the way, so be sure to come prepared. inside is very nice. evrything worked except for the wi-fi, and that will probably be remedied very soon since we made the property owner aware. cozy fireplace, kids loved the spa tub, just the right amount of space for 10 people. shampoo and conditioner provided for those who forgot, as well as a bit of non perishable food to tide you over if needing a snack upon arrival.

This hosts premier rating is well-deserved. The property was spotless, seasonally decorated, and included all the little details such as toiletries, spices, coffee, snuggly blankets, board games, equipment so we could utilize the mini-golf course, and so much more. When trying to find the unit after dark (as we did) look for plaques on second floor balconies which contain the building letters. There is one letter plaque on each building.

Great spot to unwind
This is a very clean property, and nicer in person than the photos. There is ample supplies for cooking, and a decent supply of staples like flour and olive oil, salt and pepper, etc. I liked that there was good hand soap dispensers at each sink, and hand lotion too. There was tasteful seasonal decor here and there, but not too much. A good selection of games and kids books are on hand. The location is super close to Starved Rock and Mattheison. The unit can be a little hard to find if coming in after dark, but it all gets figured out. Decent playground on site, and mini golf too.

We came to Starved Rock for a fall getaway and to see the fall colors. This place was perfect. It was clean, well stocked with necessities and even decorated for the fall. We had 2 adults and 3 children. It was very spacious for our family. 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This space was perfect for our girls retreat weekend. This was our second time staying here and it did not disappoint. The owner was responsive to questions and addressed the lack of a working coffee pot promptly and effectively. Thank you for a safe, clean space for us to retreat to each year. Every year, a group of us get away for a week or so in the summer (we’re all educators). This year we decided to stay close to home. We couldn’t have picked a better villa, better hostess, better location!!

The villa is nice and spacious.
It is close to all the state parks that we hiked in. My one complaint is the carpet is torn. I am not a fan of carpet because it holds dirt. Other than that, it was a great place for our family to stay.

Room for Improvement & Take Your Indoor Shoes with You
While my husband and I did enjoy our visit to Starved Rock, the Villa served the purpose for quietness and a place to stay. My overall thoughts/suggestions are that Villa needs improvement. To begin with, when my husband and I arrived the smoke detector was beeping and needed batteries (there were none in the alarm). Housekeeping brought 2 which we put in and solved this issue. Second: I noticed that there were no "welcome to the Villa letter and instructions" like most places you stay at: example-address and number to call/what to do if there's an emergency. It's a remote area... Third: Operating the TV's was a joke-especially upstairs when one remote was in one room and the other remote in the other room... Didn't know there was Comcast in the master bedroom until the 2nd/3rd day. Fourth: Went to make dinner the first night and noticed there were no plates, etc. Only to find out the next day that the dishwasher was never unloaded by housekeeping before we arrived and I refused to unload it given the steep housekeeping charge. Fifth: Put a fire extinguisher in the kitchen. Sixth: Replace the carpet like other people have mentioned. Last but not least, the tile floors needs more TLC before guests arrive. Anyone going in the future, take your INDOOR SHOES with you. Enjoy!

We had a great time in this Villa! It was very close to Starved Rock State Park where we attended a wedding. My sister and brother stayed in villas, too, and it was convenient for them and their families to come over to visit and work on the puzzle! The villa was clean and the beds were very comfortable and the linens and towels were high quality. It is in a peaceful location. The gas fireplace added a nice atmosphere and the kitchen had everything needed. Great villa, I would rent it again.

Perfect for Family Weekend Getaway
This was a perfect property for a family weekend getaway. The location was 5 minutes from Starved Rock State Park. The property was very spacious with a great open floor plan. The kitchen was furnished with coffee and tea and also cooking supplies. The dining table was great for playing games and there was ample room on the couches for everyone to hang out. There were plenty of beds for everyone. The property was quiet.

We met up with friends for the weekend. The location was perfect being a very short drive to the park with 6 boys who love to explore. The villa was very clean and spacious with well supplied kitchen equipment for cooking our own meals. The wooded surroundings give it a cozy, inviting feel. Highly recommended, great deal!

Perfect couples getaway
We were looking to get away with another couple and just hang out for a weekend. Play some board games, watch some TV and just have good conversation. This villa was perfect for what we needed. There are restaurants in the area for meals, or if you want to make your own food, you can do that in the full size kitchen. The place was very clean and the decor was cool. Kind of a cabin theme. The bedrooms are both upstairs. There is a bathroom on the upper and lower level. The bedrooms, by the way, are huge. Our bedroom had, not only plenty of room for a love seat and a king sized bed, but also featured a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub (unfortunately we didn't have time to use either because we were busy playing games and watching TV in the dining area and living room area). We did use the fireplace in the living room however...it gave things an even more cozy feel. It's a VERY short drive to Starved Rock's entrance and a short drive to the downtown area, which kinds looks cool. We didn't stay away from our villa long enough to enjoy that either, because the villa was that relaxing and comfortable. Our host was Joanna and she was quick to respond to a couple questions we had. I would recommend highly staying here if you have a small group that you want to get together with. Thank you Joanna, for everything. We will try to make it back someday!

Perfect Girls Weekend Getaway
The villa was spacious, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located for excursions to Starved Rock/Matthiessen State Parks, as well as a short drive into adorable downtown Utica, where we visited several shops and the August Hill Winery tasting room. The owner went above and beyond with items provided in the kitchen - a large assortment of spices if you want to cook while you are there, as well as an assortment of staples, ground coffee and filters, K-cups, etc. The only slightly tricky thing is finding the unit (after passing the Grand Bear Lodge and going past the indoor waterpark, keep to the right and follow the road past the mini-golf - you want to go into the section where the villas have letters, not numbers). We had a wonderful time and would absolutely stay here again!

Great family getaway
Great location for my daughter’s and their husbands to meet with us and reconnect after being apart for more than 2 years. Quiet and clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our time together.
