Basically a spacious two bedroom apartment with all the amenities. It was clean inside and the staff was friendly. The buildings did not look very nice on the outside and we had the issue that the air conditioning was not on when we got to the room, on a day when the temperature was 105. It took 4 hours to get down to temperature (luckily we were out of the room during that time).

There was a visible bed bug. This happens and I understand that. I’m grateful it was visible so that I didn’t touch the bed or get in it. I was given a full refund with no rebuttal or issue. I recommend you ask about this before booking. Amenities were cool and it seemed clean otherwise.

Hotel is old, room was smelly. Very dated. Felt more like a roadside attraction verses a $200 a night place. Wouldn’t recommend unless your looking for a roadside attraction

Oh my gosh!! I love this hotel!! Excellent customer service!! So nice and helpful! Great rooms! Very clean and great amenities!!! Full kitchen, comfortable bed and dog friendly!! The grounds are so cute!! Highly recommended!!!!

We had a comfortable stay at Sunnyvale Garden Suites. It was quiet and the bed comfortable. The kitchen met our needs. We particularly enjoyed the quirky grounds and were lucky to be there when the cacti were blooming. Also, we appreciated the covered parking as the shade made a big difference.

We stayed 4 nights in the king suite. It was more like a one bedroom apartment with spacious bedroom and living room. The kitchen was well equipped for short stay with plenty of dishes, microwave, fridge and a toaster. We got extra silverware when we requested. The place was clean, service consistently excellent. The only thing I didnt like much was the gym. It needs some work.

Good place...
This is a very large and comfortable room. It was very clean. Would recommend if these are most important to you. Check-in seemed like office person was new. Grill for our unit did not have a propane tank. Did not have chance to notify management of this, so can't say how they would have responded. Great location to Joshua Tree NP!

Great little hotel!
Super clean and large two-bedroom suite! We loved the desert theming and the pretty garden. The suite was very clean, with dated furniture, but brand new appliances. The bathrooms were newer as well. This stay was perfect for our family of five. Super convenient to the 29 Palms Joshua Tree entrance!

My friends and I had an amazing stay at this property! We enjoyed the vibe and theming that was put into the property, and how well it fit the surrounding area of Twentynine Palms and Joshua Tree, and the property itself was really nice! The room itself was amazing, if you are planning on cooking, have a larger group, or just want to try out a suite, this is the location for you! Finally, the manager, Cheryl, was an absolute sweetheart! From check-in to check-out I felt as though all of my concerns and questions were met, and Cheryl was amazing, walking us through the property and the offerings , as well as all of those within the suite itself. She truly provided the best hotel experience I have ever had! :)

Fun Old West Hotel Apartments
Sunnyvale Garden Suites is a collection of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments converted to a hotel in a residential neighborhood away from the highway noise. It has a fun, old west exterior decor with patios and barbecues outside each unit. Unfortunately it was too cold to BBQ. Overall, it was a good experience except for the flimsy spring-type sofa bed mattress which forced me to sleep on the sofa itself - which was fine for one person. This should be upgraded to a firmer foam model. The sofa itself was fine. The other issue was a broken switch cover on the bathroom light. The bed in the bedroom was fine and the kitchen was full size. I would definitely stay there again - especially if they upgrade the sofa bed mattress.

Book here. This place is clean, comfortable, affordable, and it has incredible charm, plus walking paths, a hot tub, a playground, ping pong tables, and locally-themed outdoor art displays. It was a perfect stayover for my family of 7 while we were visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Staff was kind and responsive. Our room had a full and well-supplied kitchen. No complaints.

We were in a two bedroom suite and it was spacious for three adults, two teens, and two dogs. The grounds were good for dog walks and my younger teen used the swing set for a while. We stayed two nights to visit Joshua Tree National Park.

This is not your cookie cutter large chain hotel. If you prefer a refreshing alternative to the corporate chain, this is for you. Simply but thoughtfully furnished with amenities that have a bit of charm. The area around the hotel is a neighborhood - quiet and unassuming. We would stay again if we were to need lodgings in the area. Take note however, the town of 29 Palms is unremarkable. Its sole attraction for us is proximity to recreation opportunities.

There was a lamp on either side of bed, neither had a light bulb. It was rainy, windy and cold. There is no way to turn up the heat that worked. It was cool to cold in the room.

Quiet and quaint
Very nice and well appointed studio suite. We didn't need the kitchen as we only stayed one night and ate out but if staying longer, we could see the kitchen would be a plus. Very quiet neighborhood; Given the traffic and noise we noticed along the main route, this location is a plus as it's off the beaten path but not hard to find. No pool and the grounds are somewhat kitschy so we felt that the rate was a bit high for what you got.

Everything was wonderful. Check-in was a breeze with Mary. She also told us of other things besides Joshua Tree to do in Twentynine Palms. The place was big and clean. The kitchen was well supplied. The location was also convenient. We will stay here when we return.

My sons and I stayed here and really enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately we had trouble with both tvs, eventually getting one to work but not the other. I'm sure if we had voiced our concerns, the staff would have helped but it wasn't important enough to us. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in town.
