"The resort itself is amazing. The property is very beautiful, manicured lawns and gardens and the restaurant, bar and rooms are well appointed and very clean. The food and drinks are on the expensive side but very good and the breakfast buffet was amazing. Staff at the restaurants and pool/bar were beyond friendly and amazing. Loved them! The gentleman at check-in though did not provide much of a warm welcome. We had just driven from Lima and had an encounter with corrupt cops on the way...

"Unfortunately very few staff speak English especially at front desk. There was no direction as to how to get your room cleaned. Housekeeping does not have a key therefore our room was not cleaned. "They put us in a room that had the top part of the door missing. You could hear everything and everyone could hear you. The walls had mold on them and the room was extremely dated. The 2nd room had no towels. We asked for them and they said they would bring them which they didn’t. Not worth what we booked this for in Expedia. They did move us to another room the next day but Expedia should compensate us for this stay."

"The host is great and property is nice. The problem is that despite the map and listing clearly listing it in Paracas, it is located in Pisco, 20 minutes from where the map indicates it is. Also, it's renting out rooms and not the house (which is not what I have experienced with VRBO listings before), so we had a lot of slamming doors from the other guests for a lot of our first night."
