“A Superior Hotel and Staff”

This was one of the best accommodations offered in Ital and the Naples Area being central to Naples to Sorrento and well served by road and rail. The units are spacious and offer a great viw over the Naples Harbor or Mount Vesuvio. The fours star rating is deserved through a great dining room that offers a delux continental breakfast and elegant dinners. The staff is what is most memorable. Eager to serve, dedicated to its customers and you are always greeted with a smile and offer of service in a polite manner. This Hotel Represents the best of Italian Charm and graciousness at a price point which is pleasant to the pocketbook. No hesitation in recommending this location and facility to any traveler.

Area recommendations
Torres de Grecco is some 15 to 20 minutes from Napoli Central Station and the trains run frequently. From there Hotel Madrad is a 15 minute walk ( shorter by bus or cab). Because you have to climb a bit to get a view the walk is not unpleasant at all and the area can be explored on foot and in safety. One of the interesting features is that the Hotel is almost on the road that leads to the summit of Mt. Vesuvio a worthwhile trip for those that are fit and can hike. From the Hotel you look down to Naples Bay and hp to the volcano.
Must see
Napoli has bad press and that needs to be appreciated in a city and urban area of some 1,000, 000 that is going through transitions. Yes it has traffic that is best described as the "wild west" and garbage that is part of a tough labour dispute of great complexity it is a beautiful city that needs to be seen and observed with insightful perspective. It boast of excellent museums and galleries, many breathtaking views of the city and the harbor, Roman and Renaissance legacies are throughout the city. The Metro system is being built at a rapid rate, police presence is everywhere helping to change the climate of crime that is disappearing (common sense must prevail) tourism is growing thanks to an awake municipal government that in implementing a changing urban agenda rapidly. Keep Napoli on the agenda for Southern Italy.

“Not Impressed”

I wouldn't go back. The staff spoke very poor English, I was unable to get answers to some simple questions and was given incorrect information which ended up costing us time and money. The incorrect information may have been due to the language barrier. Although there is a restaurant, it's not open until 8pm, after a long day of sight seeing, I'm usually hungry before that time and there aren't other nearby restaurants, some little coffee shops, but not restaurants. Was clean, but I would never go back.

“Hotel Marad alle pendici del Vesuvio (Torre del Greco - NA)”

Un buon hotel senza infamia ne gloria. Posizionato strategicamente vicino all'autostrada e alle pendici del Vesuvio. Struttura abbastanza vecchia ma ben tenuta, con piscina (piccolina ma ben tenuta), in camera moquette e Sky (che però al nostro arrivo non funzionava...) Buon servizio e colazione soddisfacente. Da ritornare tranquillamente.

“Bewertung Hotel Marad”

Das Hotel war in Ordnung, der Gesamtzustand gut und sauber. Die Zimmer waren ebenfalls sehr sauber. Das Personal insbesondere die Bedienunge auf der Dachterasse waren nicht mehr mit sich selbst beschäftigt, als mit den Gästen. Das Hotel liegt ruhig, etwas von der Strasse entfernt mit einem ebenfalls sehr sauberen Gelände. Außerhalb des Hotels ist die Gegend sehr schmutzig, besonders Richtung Circum Vesuvianum (Zug). Der Pool ist etwas veraltet und nicht unbeding der saubereste. Alles in allem, würden wir wieder in das Hotel gehen.
