Nice location, decent staff, excellent food!!!

Spent a week in Jacaranda with my better half. Food was really good on half board. Rooms clean and tidy. Beautiful garden and pools. The only bad thing was the room wifi, however we got full refund when complained. But in general I'd say it's better for families and kids than couples. I would give it 3.5 stars rather than 4. But the food was really good.

Not so all inclusive

Posted 01-Jun-2014
Stayed here at end of May food not great just stasifory. So eat out on more times then I wanted to. The beer was terrible so had to pay extra for a decent beer the all inclusive is not so all inclusive any more and the drinks menu is limited. Hotel owner if your going to do all inclusive do it fully or not at all.

Pros: See above. Facilities and food excellent plus good choice of pools. Really good food at mealtimes. Staff excellent and always polite and friendly.

Lovely hotel situated in very good position. Despite notices up re do not block sunbeds with towels, people began to put towels on beds at just gone 7.00am. We were not bothered really by this as we are not a family who would lie out all day, and generally we found a couple of beds at the rooftop pool when we wanted them. Hotel offered a range of activities - my 9yr old son played football, I did aqua aerobics; it also offered shooting, archery, petanque, and volleyball. The hotel had a football pitch and basketball. It also had tennis courts and we had a game of doubles (hubby and two sons). We found the food good with a wide range of choice and our boys found plenty to eat. We were half board which worked out really well as the hotel had two sittings for dinner so even if you were out for the day you definitely had time to be back to eat if that was what you wanted. Good choice of shops and places to eat nearby and many bus stops taking you to Los Gigantes, Los Christianos, Playa etc. other buses also available but from bus station. Beach nearby fab and we had a great day on the beach and in the sea with some cracking waves to bound through. All in all we have had a fab holiday. Big thanks to Expedia and the staff at the hotel Jacaranda for that. Hotel really clean and all staff excellent. Rooms were kept immaculate and cleaned everyday. We would definitely recommend the place to anyone especially families

Hotel bigger than I like.

Enjoyed my stay in the Jacaranda despite the poor weather. The rooms were very clean and the food and service in the restaurant very good. I didn't like the 2 sittings but got used to it. I had previously emailed and asked for a room near reception as I was travelling alone -as it turned out I couldn't have been further away! The staff were all friendly. This is my 4th visit to Tenerife in just over a year all at 4 star hotels and it was as good or better as the others and quite a bit cheaper. Loved the tv having BBC and ITV.

November in Tenerife

Pros: Its spaciousness, plenty of places to sit on your own or join in with the crowd and its location.
Cons: Can't think of a thing!
Location: Perfect for bars, restaurants, shops, buses, taxis, walking along the beachfront. Two bars opposite the entrance to the hotel are excellent value.
The best time to go is when the weather isn't so good at home, when the clocks have gone back and it's turning cold . . . and when the plane lands at Reina Sofia Airport, the doors open and suddenly you can feel the heat and see the light. A great feeling! Unfortunately, we only had a week to spare which disappeared all too quickly but we can't wait to go back. Every morning the sun's rays woke us up. We made our way to the dining room for breakfast as fast as we could and afterwards it was a race to see who could get to the sun terrace below our room the fastest. After a few hours' of sunbathing, we'd go for a walk and stop for a refreshment somewhere on the way back. Then, we had a couple of hours' snoozing on our sunbeds before getting ready for dinner followed by a stroll along the beachfront. A perfect way to relax and forget about the darkness and the cold back at home, the fact that Christmas is only a few weeks' away and you haven't even started Christmas shopping and you don't have to struggle through the traffic to get to work for a whole week!

Pros: The pool and sunbeds on the 5th floor.
Cons: Not starting to clear the food away from the dining room so early in the evenings.
Location: Very close to beach, shops and promenade. Nice and central.
We were a party of 6 ladies who stayed at the hotel half board for 1 week. The hotel was comfortable and the facilities were very good. The reception staff were very helpful and told us about the extras which were available. Some of the dining room staff were very good but unfortunately a few of them were not so helpful however not so as it would spoil our stay. The food was good and there was always a good variety. The pools were nice and the whole atmosphere was nice and relaxing.
