The complimentary breakfast was tasty, the indoor pool was a hit with my kids and all of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

Very happy with how clean are room was (: staff was friendly, free breakfast in the morning biscuits and gravy was a hit for sure . Good decent pool size . I do wish the hot tub was working though . But the hotel was very nice and I will stay again in the future.

The location of the hotel gives the impression of high crime. You cannot get into the hotel, unless the Desk Clerk is ACTUALLY paying attention to customers intended to enter. If this isn’t enough to start the stay on a bad note, how about the “hotel policy” of changing your debit card a $100 “incidentals fee” and then being told your card will be refunded in 5-days. When asking if this is necessary because we’re on a budget for our trip, was very rudely advised “this is hotel policy”. Seriously, what happened to hotel policies where they’d charge your card for damage at checkout for “incidentals”. Pre charging for services that are not intended to be used or for pre charging for “damages” is so distasteful! Especially when the Desk Clerk states “the incidental charge is because you paid through Expedia and if you paid at the hotel you wouldn’t have this problem”. Friendly or even customer service minded, are definitely NOT words I would use to describe this experience.

Thank you for your feedback, as you mentioned the hotel is in a rough area and it is our priority to make sure our guest are safe and comfortable and that's why we lock the door , the 100 incidental deposit or fee, that we required at checkin is for all our guest and it is an authorization (a temporary hold) on your card , we do not charge anything, at check out we release the amount to your bank and most of the times it takes to the bank to release it 3 to 5 business days. I am very sorry that our staff did not explain this procedure correctly.

I was going to reserve a hotel in downtown Tacoma but we had to paid for deposit and parking lot. So instead I went with Holiday Inn express and suites in Tacoma cause it was closer to our event. What I didn’t like was that the hotel doesn’t specify on Expedia their terms about a $100 deposit that they do take off your bank account. Also it was very noise you could hear everything from the next room and the footsteps. The front desk ladies were not very welcoming and kind.

All good considering surroundings
The stay itself was fine. Tee surroundings were not great and made me weary of staying. We were there for a volleyball tournament and the girls were encouraged to swim to help stretch their muscles, but the pool was too cold and the hot tub was dirty. If the pool could be warmer and the hot tub cleaner my review would likely be 5 stars becuase you can't control your surroundings. The breakfast was surprisingly good with great options

The property is not the standard of quality I am used to when staying at Holiday Inn Express hotels. The hotel is very obviously an old, run down hotel that was given a face lift. Despite paint and carpet and new furnishings, the elevator and room still smell like smoke / smells like stale air. Lots of patchwork in walls and ceilings, and directly out our window is a gas station car was and what looks like a homeless camp. Multiple suspicious looking people with backpacks walking around the parking lot. You have to drive thru a strip mall parking lot to get to the hotel, but the strip mall is condemned and boarded up and fenced off. Will not be staying here again. Very disappointed.

Hotel was excellent. I couldn’t ask more better service and staff. Just in wrong location. If you are willing to not venture out of parking lot and definitely dont venture out at night thisbis great. I did enjoy watching the people at night.. made Halloween feel more real! Hot tub was very relaxing and again the staff was amazing!

The area behind the property looked like a homeless encampment had just been moved out. Also they closed own they elevator right at check out time which was really a problem when you are trying to bring down suitcases and are on the fourth floor and have to use the stairs.

Seemed like a sketchy part of town. The pool area was dirty and there was a giant ball of hair floating in the pool. We were woken up around 3am by yelling in the hallways and ended up calling the police because it seemed to be getting out of hand. The breakfast was good, and one out of two front desk staff were good and helpful, the other seemed like she didn't want to be there. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

The property was clean and the staff were generally pretty nice and helpful with answering questions. The rooms were also comfortable and had the basic amenities one would need. Unfortunately, the property is incredibly noisy. You can hear everyone in each and every direction. Several times throughout the night me and my guests woke up due to the noise from the rooms above and beside us. We were also located near the ice machine and dining room which only compounded the issue. I understand that some noise is going to happen, I am used to apartment living, but the constant amount of noise I experienced ruined the experience.

Who works here?
The toilet cloged up and they handed me a pluger!!! What I do not work for the hotel!!!😵😵😵Also soap dispenser was broken. Otherwise this was a nice Hotel to stay in. The breakfest was amazing and the lady who serves and cleans the area for breakfest was amazing!!!
