Quick visit for parent's weekend

Posted 26-Oct-2014
Last minute booking through expedia; great rate, exceptionally friendly staff, quiet. Room was small but clean. Loved that there wasn't wall-to-wall carpeting; instead had oriental runner, hardwood (probably laminate). Bathroom was tight but served it's purpose.

Less Space, High Price.

Posted 03-Oct-2014
Pros: Clean, Staff.
Cons: Shouldnt be as expensive and perhaps have some more space in the rooms.
Location: There is nothing around. I'm thankful there are enough restaurants around.
For the price they charge for the room is higher for the fact that its in Norwalk, CT. Rooms are narrow. Rooms were clean.

Disappointing Stay.

Posted 19-Sep-2014
Pros: Nothing.
Room smelled musty. There was unflushed paper in toilet. Apparently something going on and there was noise in the hallway past 10 pm. During night sheet came loose and when I woke mattress was exposed.

Nice hotel in the heart of Norwalk

Posted 01-Sep-2014
Hotel was nice. Friendly staff. Got a ground level room. Room was clean with new looking linens and comforter. Faux hardwood floor in the room. Bathroom was clean. But the Queen bed was hard as a board. Room view was not great looking at a greenhouse style restaurant. Overall a decent place to stay though.

No rest for the weary! There was constant noise during my stay (5 nights) due to construction going on the second floor of the hotel. My room was changed immediately but I was still awakened each morning by the leaf blowers used in the back parking lot, which my first floor room faced. The food in the hotel restaurant, Adams Rib, was fair to awful and I ate elsewhere mostly during my stay. On my last day I had to avoid the closest exit to the parking lot because the hall carpet was being cleaned. I wouldn't stay there again.

Norwalk Inn and Conference Center

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: see previous
Cons: Listing of cable stations need to be in the room, there wasn't one in mine and I had to get one.
Location: Convenient, not far from NYC
It was a quick business trip, but this place was a pleasant surprise. They get all the important things right with a lot of nice touches thrown in. I loved the open, carpeted, wide stairway down to the lobby versus a cold cement corner of the building. I loved the staff and the local, friendly clientele in the bar/restaurant and the food was great. The room was pleasant and comfortable and the proximity and ease of access from Rt. 95 - perfect. The history of the place and the area printed in the room was interesting. All in all, a super, super place to stay. I'll be back.

A real DUMP

Posted 10-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
Hallways dirty- all carpets badly soiled in front of doors - doors all scuffed - moldings and doors not painted in 10+ years - dark and uninviting. Room was not fresh and clean smelling - furniture was ancient along with TV - would not honor complimentary breakfast unless we booked with hotel directly- reccomended highly by hotel.com!!!
