“Not impressed”

During my 2-week stay I initially was satisfied with how my room had been tidied up. It did not last long, though. The second week things went a bit south. Messy desk, facial tissues out of order, coffee items also misplaced. Too much inconsistency in comparison to the first week. I am guessing a change in staff or some sort. Also, when ordering food by means room service, I asked as to whether I could have food containers as I did not want to waste anything. The response was, no, you either get your meal in disposable containers or on the 'regular' ones. I complained of course. Some time later I get what I had asked for. This simply left in my a bad impression. That's it. Food was great, though. Overall everything was ok but I will try to avoid staying at this hotel if I can.

“loud and uncaring”

for the first of 2 nights we were on the third floor in the front of the building and that night there was some party booked in the hotel restaraunt which was very loud. I could here yelling, shouting and music blaring until 1am. I complained twice and the receptionist said "oh well they should be stopping pretty soon". We asked to move to the back of the building for the second night, and that was better with respect to noise, but not happy about the way they dealt (or more accurately neglected to deal with ) with the problems the first night. On the plus side they have a nice breakfast bufffett.. The fitness room is really small with only one treadmill and no elliptical.

“Excellent Service and Facilities”

Handsome architecture. Clean and spacious rooms. Full hot breakfast and evening snacks. Staff very friendly and efficient. Responsive and sensative to guest needs. Would definitely stay here again and recommend highly to others.

“Stamford Hampton Inn”

Overall my stay there was great the only complaint I have is upon my departure the Hampton Inn/Suite Customer Van was part in front of the hote preventing me from parking there to retreive my bags from the cart and place them in my car. The driver was sleep in the van and did not pay any attention to the customers as they were leaving and he never moved the van to make our exit as great as our stay. This needs to be addressed so this can and will not happen to other guest. This happened on 9/26 between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM

The location was close to downtown Stamford and major stores were within walking distance.

“Totally Impressed!!”

Stayed at this hotel due to Hurricane Irene. This hotel is truly a 4 star in my book. Excellent customer service, friendly staff, cleanliness throughout the hotel as well as rooms, nice complimentary breakfast, and covered parking. Recommend this hotel for anyone looking for rooming in the Stamford, Ct. area.

The downtown location where a lot of bars and restaurant out-lets are located. Also near the mall, the Stamford Town Center.

“Fine for 1 night”

The staff was very courteous and helpful. The neighborhood isn't developed, so we pretty much had to have dinner at the hotel. The food was good but a little pricey. The breakfast was fine. My only complaints were that we couldn't control the temperature in the room (too warm) and the eating area in the room adjacent to the breakfast buffet needs some kind of window coverings so people don't have to sit in the blazing sun.

“Memorial Trip”

Hotel was nice and clean. Quiet the first couple of nights, but not on Friday and Saturday nights. People arguing and yelling at each other in the hallway. Nice Fitness Room and good equipment. Overall good stay.

Area recommendations

Greenwich, wonderful shops, resturants and nice ambiance.

We had dinner at Mitchell's Fish House and it was absolutely wonderful. Great service, excellent food choices, taste and superb desserts. Well worth the $$$.

“Excellent buy for the money!”

Excellent buy for the money! Near the interstate, but far enough away! In city location, but no congestion. Attached parking garage was very convenient. Clean... no bad smells. Had to wait for a table at breakfast (included in the price)... could be more tables available. Breakfast was good and there was a good variety of food available.
