No parking, though I thought there was (I guess I misread the information about this place), nearest parking was just round the corner and cost £8 overnight, i.e. 24 hours. This was recommended by the staff when we arrived, not knowing where to park. Next day I asked at nearby Waitrose about free parking and they helpfully pointed out several on-street free parking marked bays which were...

"Why do hotel designers think it is OK to have an ensuite bathroom with no door? A curtain is not an adequate replacement for a door. This was a big issue for us. Also the only seating in our room was 1 dining chair and 1 stool when there was room for something more comfortable. I don't want to have to sit on the bed, particularly at the price this hotel came in at. Everything else was very good."

"A very pleasant stay. Good room size which was in good condition with all the amenities you would expect. Large comfortable bed and an excellent power shower. Good quality tea/coffee with branded chocs which was a nice touch. Very friendly welcome, nothing was too much trouble. TV aerial cable draped over light fittings, and personally I would’ve liked blackout curtains as the room was very illuminated from outside lighting. but that said I would definitely stay there again. "Have stayed a few times over the years, the room was nice, but could do with a make over, and the shower needs something doing with it, it isn't a walk in shower, more like a climb in. Food in the restaurant was delicious, even though there wasn't a big choice, it was all delicious, the chef even made fresh apple sauce for one of the party. Hopefully next time we stay, we will see a difference min the room "

"Staff friendly and attentive when we arrived and nice room. However, for the price improvements need to be made: - main issue -we booked a room advertised to be for 3 adults and stated was a king size bed and a single bed. We had a call on the day of check in to check it was 3 adults (as opposed to 2 adults and a child) which we confirmed was the case. When we came to check in, the "single bed" was actually a fold up camp bed with a very thin mattress which was not fit for purpose for an adult....
