The O'callaghan Elliott was a lovely hotel, with equally lovely staff. The furnishings are looking a little tired but the location made up for that. The place was clean and pleasant enough and we would quite happily return. This is my 3rd trip to Gibraltar and I was pleasantly surprised to be situated just off the main high street, just a short walk to Casemates Square.
Lovely place to go and relax and the roof pool was just the way to start the day.
Arrived very late but night staff really looked after of us. Stunning accommodation that we didn't to make the most of so we hope to return. Breakfast rate was never explained despite trying to find out so paid far more than we expected for what we actually had, but I suspect most guest worry very little amount money ! A really special place.
We stayed at the hotel 2 nights, one week apart and each time enjoyed the wonderful location in this quiet corner of Gibraltar, directly above the rocks and the sea. Our two rooms were totally different, the better more spacious one having a loggia directly above the waves below. On each occasion we ate at the Italian restaurant and thought the food was outstanding. Overall a very pleasant and memorable stay.
Great staff and modern clean hotel. overall great location for our holiday which covered Spain, Gibraltar and Morocco. Cannot fault this hotel which had friendly service and good food as well as being in a fairly quiet area.
Two bedroom apartment located in a very nice complex. If you are there, take a walk around and enjoy the view of the see and the Rock of Gibraltar. Very clean and safe place. Lady at the reception very professional, she made sure we had everything we needed even thou we stayed only one night.
I had been told this was the place to stay in Gibraltar and it did not disappoint. The Rock is in prime position to enjoy the view over to Africa with all rooms having this view. Staff I found really friendly and helpful with my need for fast relaiable wifi, the server was reset for me when requested as problems were occuring. The wisteria terrace is a must for a drink and relax and the photographs in the bar are worth seeing of past visitors.
My room was comfortable and pleasant with a well stocked bathroom. Both were immaculate. Sadly carpets in the corridors were stained which let down the standard elsewhere.
Breakfast was a buffet and very varied.
