“Place to Sleep”

Days Inn Melbourne is a low cost place to sleep. I didn't go in expecting much and came out feeling my basic requirements were satisfied. Rooms all open to the outside and was stiflingly hot upon entry. It took the AC a good hour to bring the temperature down to a comfortable level. It remained on constantly at it's coldest setting for the duration of my stay. The carpet appeared to have some permanent stains, but the linens, towels and bathroom were all clean. I did not use the fridge or microwave. Wi-Fi connection was decent. I did not partake f the complimentary breakfast during my stay.

“Good Value”

Wanted a convenient place off I -95 to spend the night and get on the road early. Very quiet and close to restaurants, stores etc. Room was adequate and very reasonable.

“Average, very average”

The hotel was average for the price, not a bargain, but you got what you paid for. Was disappointed in the breakfast--no OJ (in Florida!!), and the eggs were in greenish water--yuck! The air conditioner was a wall unit -very loud, but overall, the hotel was what I paid for it. Cheap but decent.

“Only if your desperate”

This Days Inn is ok if you really need a place to crash. Rooms were ok, nothing special, a/c did not work that well. Free breakfast was awful...rotting banannas.....everything was unedible....

“Will use again when next in Melbourne in August 2011”

Needed a hotel for one night, due to a two day doctor's appointmnet. The Days Inn fitted the requirement exactly and the price was good for a one night stay.

Area recommendations

For business the Days in is well located. For a holiday you would need to stay closer to the beach

Dining

Very nice restaurants in Old Melbourne a few miles east of the Days Inn Very easy to find as well.

“Good Breakfast Bar”

Our first room was full of dead love bugs and one palmetto bug. Live bugs were on the walls. Not a pretty sight. The second room also had dead love bugs. I understand that this is the time of year for them; however, vacuuming would have removed them. I left notes for housekeeping, but the bugs remained for 3 of the 5 nights we stayed. We also had to request clean towels as none were provided. Apparently, the "real" housekeepers came in on the 4th day. Under other circumstances, this would be a nice hotel.

Area recommendations

This area close to friends we were visiting. I would recommend this area due to its proximity to I-95.

“satisfactory”

Very close to I95,small fee for pets, so very pet friendly, pool is clean, but not very big, beds comfortable... we slept well. continental breakfast was satisfactory. In all my family and I (all 6 of us) would stay again.

“Very good and consistent”

Our room was clean, the hot breakfast was good and dependable; no noise trouble. Suited our needs perfectly.
