“Roach Invested”

I'll never stay at America's Best again. I suggest that a can of roach spray be given to each guest upon check in. I killed at least twelve german roaches over a two day stay.

“Ok for a short stay”

This hotel is accomodating for a quick stay, such as for business. This is not your hotel for a week long vaction. Staff are super nice and accomodating. The rooms are roomy and offers a mini fridge which I found convenient. The hotel was easy to get to, and in and out of. The rooms are basically clean, but can tell that they are in need of updating. The hair dryer and in room safe did not work in my room. Everything looks old and tattered. The service though, is very accomodating. I enjoyed the quick and easy service at the front desk and the friendliness of the hotel restaraunt staff. I was pleased that with the low prices of the hotel, they still offered a diverse continental breakfast. I am planning on staying again for a business trip again. It is convenient. I would not stay here with my family though. There is a Hampton across the street for those with higher expectations of hotels.

“bad impression from employes and other guests!”

Overall the greeting rusty confusion about smoking/non smoking hearing things though walls slugish response due to employees personal problems!

“Clean, comfortable,quiet.”

For aplace to stay while working, completely adequate. I was pleasantly surprised after reading so many poor reviews and was prepared to move if it was as bad as described. I would stay again.

“Great Value for your money”

We had a very nice room, fabulous employees went out of their way to meet any request promptly, very secure location, convenient to everything. We will definitely rebook this property on our move back to the area. I read the reviews former guests had posted and was a little apprehensive about what we might run into. The negative reviews were not at all accurate based on our 5 day stay. Our room had a working refrigerator, microwave, cable TV, an excellent shower/bath, lots of hot water, and the motel shampoo is wonderful. We caannot say enough good things about this property.

Area recommendations

Great shopping at the mall going east on 192, great restaurants all aver the area, 10 minutes to the Atlantic ocean.

“Worth what I paid”

I reserved a smoking room. When I got there they put me in a non smoking room. I asked for a smoking room as per my reservation and they said they would get back to me but never did. The continental breakfast was great. I loved making my own waffle.

“Do not stay here!!”

This had to be the worst experience I have ever had in my years of traveling. I can not say about other America's best value Inns, but based on the one in Melbourne I'll never stay at any of their hotels. The place was dirty, smelly, and in serious need of a good exterminator!! The desk personnel were obviously aware of the condition of the hotel because they gladly moved us to another room which turned out to be worse than the first. Then when we said we would not stay the night, they agreed not to bill us. We went across the street to Days Inn and got a beautiful room. The manager at the Days Inn gave us the same rate as America's Best (which it definitely is NOT). And our stay in Melbourne was wonderful.

Area recommendations

If you have never been to Melbourne, Florida, you need to go and visit their beautiful beaches. Even though several storms had passed through the area before we arrive and the beaches were cluttered with trash and stuff from the ocean, I was comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the water and sunshine. This area is one of Florida's best kept secrets.
