Do not stay till after construction has ended.
This hotel is undergoing massive construction. We arrived unaware of this. There was no-one staying there. We found another resort to stay at as this was impossible there. Do not book here until the works are done approx Sept 15

Under Renovation
My stay at this hotel was as god as it could be considering the circumstances. The hotel is being renovated and the noise began as early as 07.00. The pool is demolished. The room itself had no control over the a/c so it could not be left on as it would be too cold. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant served a continental breakfast with made to order eggs which was nice. Dinner was pleasant serving a good range of foods. The fried fish was especially nice. If you take into consideration that days are spent out and away from the hotel and you can get a room with a/c for a bargain price then this is a place to consider.

Perfect location in Siem Reap
Many people are working at the Hotel and they are incredibly friendly. The Hotel is right opposite the Angkor National Museum. The drive to Angkor Wat costs 15 $ by a Hotel sponsored Tuk Tuk. We left to Angkor Wat at 4:30 am to see the sunrise and highly recommend that. It's 5$ more though. The Tuk Tuk driver stays with you all day. We became good friends with him, met his family and he drove us around many times. The restaurant is great, the location very close to down town Siem Reap, and the Hotel has great deals on pretty much all the activities in the area. We recommend the Restaurant BarbeQ around the corner that serves a Cambodian grill BBQ. We do not recommend the floating markets. The boats are way over-priced and there is little to see.

Well located, good value
The hotel is in a really good location, and has large rooms with shower and bath. The pool area is lovely, but the breakfast was disappointing. The property is fine if you're on a budget, no issues but nothing special and the beds are quite firm. Would recommend for people who aren't really backpacking but don't need frills either.

Comfy hotel close to circus
Room was very spacious and had 2 large single beds which were comfy although a double probably would have been better for 1 person. The hotel has a lovely pool and restaurant but alot of mosquitoes so be careful to spray insect repellent before dinnner or swimming. also outside my room there were constant swarms of insects so I think there is a general issue with mosquitoes. but apart from that the hotel was lovely and staff were very helpful. Restaurant staff not so much but reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has tuk tuk drivers they use regularly so I used one for 2 days and he was very nice and took me to temples on bothe days I stayed one day for sunrise so we left very early. The hotel is also about a 7 - 8 minute walk from the Phare circus which is excellent.

The hotel is clean and nice! The staff are helpful and very friendly. Hotel located at the quiet & nice location. The public transport (tricycle or taxi) can be easily get right infront of the hotel. I will come back to stay for my next visit and will recommend this hotel to my friends who plan to come for vacation!

Outdated, ok for the money
Our room was next to an alley where dogs bark all night. Curtains and window would not close, informed staff and nothing was done. Door lock was difficult to open and safe was too small to fit most items.dissapointing.

Six
We were a group of 6 friends and this hotel accommodations and amenities were perfect for us. Our one suggestion is for the desk staff to be a bit more helpful in liaison between their guests and tuk tuk drivers as we used the hotel tuk tuks to get only a little off the beaten track but once we were out of range of the hotel we discovered the drivers had no idea where we wanted to go.

Good hotel
The hotel is in a very good location. You can take a Tuk Tuk into town for $2 each way or walk. The shower was great! Nice hot water with good pressure. They should get rid of the carpet as it was pretty dirty. The staff was nice and friendly but those working in the kitchen we not as nice or polite. Maybe lack of training and customer service skills. Overall for the price we were very pleased.

Good comfortable stay. Great value.
Good clean hotel. Has a restaurant that was impressively good. Lots of good Khmer dishes to choose from. Pool is very nice. Laundry service was convenient. Location is a bit of a walk from the old market but of you're biking to Angkor wat (I highly recommend), then this location is great.

Decent hotel and you can't beat the price for what you get. We really appreciated being able to lounge by the pool after sightseeing. Tuktuks belonging to hotel are right outside at your beck and call. You will probably want one any time you go out to eat, as it is quite far from the main drag. A plus is that hotel is across from Cambodian circus/acrobat show...you can walk back after.

Nice, cosy hotel not too far away from town centre
Siem Reap is a wonderful place to visit! It has a blend of the ancient & the modern for people from all walks of life. Engaged a driver (MJ) to take the three of us around for 2 days and it cost USD140. Places covered are Beng Maelea Temple, Tonle Sap Lake, Angkor Wat, Bayon, Angkor Thom & Banteay Srei. The temples are ancient, magnificent & put simply, amazing! Also had the chance to watch the Apsara dance performance at Koulen Restaurant in town and it cost USD12 per person which includes a reasonably sumptuous buffet dinner. The town which is less than 2km is vibrant with a wide variety of activities: excellent restaurants & bars which are reasonably priced. Lots of stalls selling handicrafts & paintings (beautiful & skillfully drawn) are found around the town. Cost of paintings are very reasonable. The hotel we stayed in is located not too far from town, away from the hustle & bustle. It costs a mere USD2 to get a tuk tuk from the hotel. Angkoriana is a three-storey boutique hotel (no lift available so not very friendly for those who are handicapped). The room was surprisingly well equipped! Clean bath towel, face towel & hand towel provided. Room is very spacious and the beds are comfortable too. Air-conditioning was working perfectly well. Swimming pool is small but big enough to have loads of fun!! Buffet breakfast is ok (do not expect a great spread) with both Asian & Western favourites available. All in all, it was a wonderful experience!

Great hotel at a great location
We stayed here for almost a week and the experience was great. It was perfect for our early morning temple visits; the national museum is right opposite and becomes the first easy visit the day you land in siem reap and it is a pleasure to walk back to the hotel after a tiring 2 hour trip to the museum.

Exceptional stay
We spent 4 nights here, and it was probably the best place (and definitely the best value for money) we stayed in Cambodia. The staff were unbelievably friendly from the moment we arrived -- helping us out with a difficult check-in (we arrived massively early and half-dead from a night-bus!). Our room was spacious and clean, the pool was a great relief from those hot, hot days, the hotel's own Tuk-Tuk drivers were the most honest and friendly we met in Siem Reip, and the whole place just has a really big and open and nice vibe about it. Heartily recommended.

We arrived on an early flight they let us into our hotel very early. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and dining area were very nice. Our room could have been cleaner,, and it had a heavy chemical smell on top of a stale smoke smell. It's about a twenty minute walk to pub street.

Great hotel in the right location.
Love this hotel. Across the street from the National Museum, near a lovely park and frequently used temple. Very easy to find. It is on the end nearest the temples. Good for sun up/sundown Angkor Wat viewing and the best tuk tuk drivers of the hotel are right there. The staff speaks English, is friendly and service is good. Nice decor, swimmng pool and eating area. This is my second time staying at this hotel.Angkoriana is peaceful. A great stay at this hotel.

the hotel was right across the Angkor Museum so easy to spot... about 15-20mins away from the Old Market on foot so easy enough to get there (you just walk straight up the same road) but don't stay here if you want to be in the middle of all the action in Pub Street.. the best thing about the hotel is it's staff, who couldn't be friendlier and more accommodating, and spoke English..they also have an in-house massage service by the pool (or in your room if you prefer) which is very good and reasonably priced... wifi is good, breakfast is a small buffet, overall it was great value for what you pay for

Old school charm
This is not a 'boutique' hotel. It's an old classic. Beautiful old wood everywhere, good facilities, v pleasant staff, clean and organized. Because of a booking glitch the day I added onto my stay ( via hotel.com) was overbooked and they moved me to another nearby hotel( v similar but not as organized). It's right opposite the excellent museum and a $2 tuk tuk ride to the night spots. I thought it was good value for $45

Charmed by Tradition
The Angkoriana Hotel treated my husband and I to a delightful stay in a wonderful city. The location was PERFECT: $2 and 8 minutes by tuk tuk to the bustling city area. The staff couldn't have been sweeter and more helpful for all my questions which was so appreciated as this was our first time in their country. And the grounds really tied the whole experience together. We were charmed by the interior layout and the restaurant! I encourage you to treat yourself to a Traditional Khmer Massage (poolside!) and utilize their different packages! Will return!

Amazing staff / great for families
We had a great stay at the Angkoriana. The staff in particular were amazing. The hotel is a bit dated, but it is comfortable and more than adequate for a family on a budget or folks not looking for luxurious accomodation. The pool is adequate, the food is pretty good and again, the staff are wonderful.

Friendly service, but rooms are dated
First the pros: hotel staff was friendly and caring and truly made the stay worthwhile; also, wonderful, reasonably priced massage services are available on site. That said, the rooms have seen better days. There were visible signs of wear and tear in the room and the decor is a bit dated. Also, the showers use electric heaters, so the water gets cold quickly. Not bad for the price, but given how inexpensive hotels in Siem Reap are, I'd pay a little more for more up-to-date room amenities.

OK hotel in front of the Angkor National Museum
HOTEL PROS and CONS: PROS: - there's free pickup from the airport - with free wi-fi - with free breakfast - It's along Charles de Gaulle blvd which is a main road so it's not hard to get a tuktuk anytime - if you wish to visit the Angkor National Museum, it's just across the hotel - staff are pleasant and always ready to help - there's a pool with a small shower area. The staff allows you to check out and come back for a shower. Really useful if your flight's late at night and you want to check out and still roam around Siem Reap where the heat will get you really sweaty. CONS: - the room was musty, seems like it has not been used for a while. The smell was gone after a day though. - breakfast spread was very limited (fried rice, soup, noodles, egg, cereals, bread, jams/butter, coffee and juice).
