Spacious rooms - We had a king size & double bed in the room (not a roll away) for 2 adults & 2 children & still had plenty of space. Beds were comfortably soft. Bathroom had a shower & tub which is a plus for kids. We were on the ground floor overlooking the lily pad filled creek which was beautiful. Terrific, huge pool - Lots of different depths to suit everyone. Slides into the kids pool were a hit with ours. Could have had more deck chairs, but as it was low season - no worries. Prices at the hotel are understandably more than in town or buying drinks from a store. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Quiet location - We thought we would be too far from town, but it was great to have the resort amenities, while still close enough to quickly get dinner. $7 for a tuk tuk round trip & he waited for us, stopped at mini marts, ATMs, etc. $3 one way, but then you would have to flag someone to bring you back - easy enough, but having someone at hand was a plus. The staff was friendly, but often their English was limited. Arrange your own taxi or go to the "tour" desk - much cheaper then the front desk. $15 for a tuk tuk or $30 for a taxi for the day for the near temples seemed standard no matter where you stay - both easily fit 4 people.
"Great city hotel - walking distance to amenities"
1. The friendliness and helfulness of the hotel staff were exemplary, special thanks to Sothy and his colleagues from the dining room for asssisting with the birthday cake for my sister;and the concierge for assisting to make dinner reservations at abacus restaurant and airport transfers.
2. Although friendly and helpful, the restaurant staff could be a little more attentive with regards to refilling wine glasses and water glasses.
3. It was appreciated that the dining room staff charged for 1 person and did not charge for my ala carte breakfast, after i pointed out a billing error in the bill, i was charged for a buffet instead of ala carte.
4. A business centre would be useful for guests who want to do internet check in for their flights.
5. Would definitely stay again if i am in Siem Reap, and would recommend to family and friends.

I am a single woman traveler who visited Angkor Wat in August and stayed at Sofitel, it I a great place to stay for anyone, very safe with really courteous staff, the spa is absolutely world class and it is a very peaceful and serene hotel. "Beautiful hotel with REAL Asian charm & service."
We had a lovely 3 nights stay at the Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa. Our suite was breathtaking; beautifully appointed with Asian decor, spacious and comfortable. Our experience began before we arrived. I had contacted the hotel in order to arrange a car and driver and a tour guide. The hotel's concierge was prompt and helpful in getting back to us. Our anticipation of our stay was heightened because we felt that we would be taken care of as per our requests. We were NOT disappointed. A car and driver picked us up and though we arrived late in the evening, the concierge was on hand to go over our requests and expectations. Our visit to Angkor Thom & Angkor Wat was well orchestrated and tailored to our needs; an unforgettable experience. The services at the hotel were exceptional. Excellent bar; great exotic drinks and fabulous bar food. The buffet breakfast was inclusive of both Asian and western foods. It was a phenomenal experience. The pool was refreshing and inviting and the attendant welcoming and attentive to our needs. Both he and the concierge are great examples of Cambodian hospitality and service. The spa offered wonderful services which my wife thoroughly enjoyed. We had a beautiful little vacation within a vacation, by spending some time taking in and enjoying the ambience, facilities and services at the hotel. ALL staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, and helped to make our visit a wonderful experience that we will always remember.

The staff we extremely polite and accommodating. The restaurant had great food (especially for the price) and the pool was great. It was just off a busy street, but you couldn't hear the noise as it was a little oasis away from it all. Would definitely go back. The best were the tuktuk drivers on hand at all times. They were so amazingly friendly and helpful.

This place is amazing! From the second we were picked up from the airport, to the moment we departed it was an excellent experience! The staff was exceptionally friendly and hospitable. Sokchea amd Mono looked after us as if we were old friends. No request was ever denied, in fact, they always went above and beyond our expectations. I highly recommend staying here for a luxurious splurge , I will certainly return here should I ever come back to Cambodia.

Really nice hotel, with friendly profressional staff.
From the moment we arrived until we left, we had nothing but positive vibes from this hotel.
Staff is very friendly, they all speak English well, and will always great you with a smile.
This hotel was wonderful- great location and excellent service from the hotel staff. More over, the complimentary inclusions with our Memoire Suite room (free: unlimited laundry esp. considering the hot & humid weather, drinks in fridge, turn down service with snacks, transfers and breakfast) were a godsend. I specifically chose this hotel over other 5 star hotels nearby for these special inclusions and was not disappointed. The bed in our room was huge- larger than a super king bed and very comfortable. Air con was working well in the room.
Negatives/things that can be improved:
The walk-in shower in the bathroom was not very well designed in that the drain can only handle lower water flow so you had to reduce the flow of water from the shower head to prevent it filling too quickly and flooding. I prefer high powered showers so this was a bit disappointing.
Our suite, great as it was, had no view. One side of the hotel is facing the wall of another building so rooms on this side have no view. I did not request room change because I personally did not mind this (I do not like being overlooked and there was sufficient light coming through the windows); however, I can see how this might not work for others who do want to look out into the street/city.
Towels were changed daily but I would have liked the option to choose when our bed sheets were changed- most hotels now have a card that you can leave on the bed when you want the sheets changed, but I did not see this here.
