"This is a fantastic hotel. The location is as convenient as anywhere we have ever been. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and big. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Sitting out overlooking the river was a delightful experience and belied the fact that we were within a few hundred yards of the town. We could have been deep in beautiful countryside. "We were greeted by Chris when we checked in after long day exploring Cotswold. We decided to stay in and booked a reservation for dinner. We had steak and Seabass and both meals were cooked to a perfection. All the courses were delicious from starter to dessert. The bed, bedding, linens, and soaps were luxury without loosing the characters of the house..and clean. All the staff were super friendly and very helpful. Thanks Desi, Chris and everyone (sorry, I forgot the name) so welcoming and helpful to make our stay memorable. Beautiful grounds and view from our room. We’ll definitely comeback again. "

"I really loved the Red Lion, the whole place is truly well kept, the furniture and the decorations including the lovely framed prints are all amazing and the whole atmosphere is very welcoming and cosy. My room was very clean and reasonably spacious. I could not recommend the Red Lion more watmly. Very happy customer. Many thanks to the corteous staff too!"

"Initially not easy to find but once there check in was simple, the staff lovely and so friendly, the room was lovely, very large and spotlessly clean with everything we needed. We used the restaurant for our evening meal and while the menu was quite limited there was something each of us liked and the food was very nice and well cooked. Overall we would highly recommend a stay here and would stay again if visiting Salisbury "
