The older reviews can cause doubts however I can assure you that there was nothing to worry about. A mistake on the visa through the hotel wasn't picked up which cost us 4 extra hours at the airport but the hotel PR officer personally came to the airport to resolve the issue. After all that we finally arrived at the hotel and our upset soon subsided as the building was quite impressive. Check in was swift and what I thought was a standard double was actually a room with two double beds instead of one queen as we do in the UK!
The staff was efficient and the bell boys took up everything. Even our coats from the car to the room.
The room and view was gorgeous and we couldn't be happier.
The cherry on the cake was the lush breakfast buffet. There were 5/6 table islands on offer.
The chef makes bespoke omelettes on the skillet live while you watch and the 5 different islands consist of fresh cake and bakery, fresh precut fruit, cheeses, meat slices, other sandwich fillers, hot cooked continental and intercontinental breakfast options, juices and smoothies and so on.
The hotel was child friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed the beach.
No problems with the location . The ship warf was not visible neither was there any smell in the air as mentioned in a previous review.
I recommend local supermarket shopping for snacks and milk as it is much cheaper than room service if travelling with kids.

This is the 8th time staying at the Kempinski in Ajman. Each and every time it has been a wonderful relaxing holiday. Watching the sunset from the balcony never gets old. The hotel is great, It has many restaurants and cafes. it has an onsite bar and bowling alley. it has a handful of shops should you have forgotten to pack any essentials or are looking for a gift. The private beach is simply perfect, with its own beach bar which also serves food and a shower/changing facility should you need to cool off. There is also an employee who serves drinks to you on the beach. The staff are simply wonderful. They are efficient and discrete but most importantly happy and friendly. They are truly a credit to the hotel. The food is very good. The hotel is approx. 20km from Dubai and the traffic can be bad so if you intend to travel into Dubai frequently choose your times carefully. there is a hotel operated bus service.
Had a suite. Spacious room, wanted King Bed but those don't have view of water or skyline. Accepted room with view and was told it came with 2 Queen Beds. Beds were actually more like US single. A little tight for two but we managed.
Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by a wonderful gentleman that gave up cool towels and refreshing drinks. The receptionist was nice as well! Upon getting to our room they had to be changed because of an issue with the bathtub. The receptionist quickly did so, without any problems. Now, the problem was that the water in our room did not get hot until the next day. So, taking showers was not pleasant. The next day we went to the pool, and my husband was going to get in with my daughter. We were told that he needed a wetsuit or swimsuit of some sort. Needless to say, we ended going to the private beach, but felt indifferent because we paid to stay to also use the pool. Overall, nice hotel, decent breakfast, bring a swimsuit.
This hotel is not like your ordinary hotel with elevator and different floors, ect. It’s more like you’re home. The hotel staff is very nice. The restaurant inside the hotel has awesome food (but try to buy it with room as package because it can be a little pricy alone.) The only thing you should pay attention is this hotel is not located in Dubai. It’s in Sharjah (one of the 7 Emirates), which is a different city.( 25 min from Dubai by car) If you don’t have a tour vehicle to pick you up, you will be using hotel taxi to get around Dubai.
Other than it’s not bad for its price.
