“Exceeded our expectations by a long way”
Although the hotel is classed as 2 * it felt much better than this. Staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. It had comfortable beds and a good shower. It is in an ideal location in the middle of Barrio Santa Cruz and within easy walking distance of the Cathedral, the Alcazar and many other sites. Although the cost of breakfast is in addition to the room rental it is excellent and good value. It is a little difficult to find but with good directions is easily locatable. The hotel is an ideal base for a long weekend or longer break in Seville.
“It was a pleasure!”
Santa Cruz, where the Murillo Hotel is located is very quaint and charming. It is also very central to many of the sightseeing highlights of Seville and its numerous tapas bars. Our welcome to the hotel was very warm and we were taken to our room promptly. When we booked there was only the very basic room available. Our room was small but it meet our needs as we only planned to shower and sleep in it. The bathroom was marble and had a great shower. What struck me about the hotel was how clean it was. Everywhere! We loved our stay and we will definitely recommend it. Thank you it was a pleasure staying
“Delightful hotel in excellent location”
An excellent location in the heart of the Santa Cruz barrio near to the Murillo Gardens, the Cathedral and Reales Alcazares and the bars of the Puerta de la Carne. The public areas are charmingly furnished and the views from the roof terrace are lovely, though the bar was not open during our stay; we were fortunate to have a balcony and took our own drinks there and made good use of it in the slightly cooler air of the evenings. The room was furnished simply but very pleasantly and the air conditioning blissfully effective and quiet! A very comfortable stay.
“It was all about the location...”
Location was amazing! The center of it all, walking distance to every attraction. The service at the front desk was good. Room was extremely small. Room did not compare to any of the pictures posted on their site or Expedia site. Walls are paper thin. If you are a lite sleeper, I do not recommend staying here.
“Not impressed”
After booking this hotel 8 months ahead, we found the room we requested not to be available for another 2 days,we were also told after finaly moving this room would cost us a extra 15 euros per day supplement. At no stage were we informed about this extra cost.Very poor customer service one guy in particular called David must have belived his glowing reports on trip advisor as we found him very inefficient. And we could not understand how he warrented such references .It was a good location and clean,bu Davetwe would not use this hotel again.
“Great hotel in center of Sevilla”
Overall, a great hotel in the heart of Sevilla. Hotel is a little bit older and the beds are so-so, but the location and great service more than makes up for it.
“Awesome Deasl”
This small hotel is in the heart of Seville, accessible to the main monuments and historic sites and excellent food. It has the look and feel of a recent renovation (new linens, paint and decor. Hotel staff was friendly and efficient. Our room was spotless clean and comfortable. If there is one small downside is that this hotel is not accessible by car. We took a cab from the airport and had to walk a small distance hauling our bags. A minor inconvenience that the quality of the hotel and price more than make up for. If you are driving, prepare to spend some serious extra money to park your car.
“Fantastic place to stay right in the centre of the tourist district”
Nice quiet hotel in the old Jewish quarter, very clean and comfortable with some amazing antiques in the public areas. Five minute walk to the major attractions
“Can't beat the location”
Very nice hotel in the heart of the old town. Newly renovated and well maintained. Good breakfast (as continental breakfasts go). If you are driving, keep in mind that it is on a pedestrian street. You cannot drive up to it. You can get close, but the streets are very narrow. They supposed to have parking but it was filled up. There is a public parking close by.
“Clean room, good location”
Hotel staff was helpful and spoke english. This hotel is located on the edge of the old town (medina). It is close to Murillo gardens, the cathedral, and Alcazar. A Taxi cannot pull up right in front, but can arrive close with a 4-5 min walk. There is a Tapas restaurant across the street. The hotel is clean and has reasonable upkeep. There is a laptop in the lobby with free internet. The rooms are small and the "king" bed is 2 twins pushed together. These mattresses were quite firm. The room was heated/cooled by a wall unit The TV is small had no english channels. This is a simple room for a good price in a great location.
